Powell Takes Sixth Pole of Season

ALTON, Va. (October 3, 2003) -- Devon Powell earned his sixth Grand-Am Cup
Series pole of the season during qualifying for the 3 Hours of VIR at
Virginia International Raceway on Friday. Powell turned a 2:00.337 lap in
97.825 mph in the Powell Motorsports No. 11 Corvette, shaving more than 2.5
seconds off the Grand Sport I track record set by Scott Maxwell last year.

"All the testing we did over the long break is really paying off. The Sunoco
Powell Motorsports Corvette is really working well," said Powell, who has
yet to score a win this season. "We are trying real hard to win a race.
We've been snake bit. We're out of the championship, so all we can do is go
for poles and wins. We've won poles, so now we've got to finish it off and
win a race."

Michael Levitas will start the TPC Racing No. 18 Porsche GT3 Cup in the
outside pole position during Saturday afternoon's race. Levitas turned a
2:02.395 lap at 96.180 mph. Both Doncaster Racing Porsches will lineup on
the second row. Jean-Francois Dumoulin put the points leading No. 119
Porsche in the third position, while Greg Wilkins piloted the No. 7 Porsche
to the fourth-quickest time.

Mike Cronin grabbed his second-straight Grand Sport II pole in the No. 33
Nissan 350Z of Unitech Racing. Cronin recorded a 2:08.165 lap at 91.850 mph,
besting the GS II track record of David Haskell by 1.8 seconds.

"This is a good car, it's very consistent. I've really struggled all
morning, and I still didn't go as fast as I'd have liked. Still, it was fast
enough for the pole," said Cronin. "I think our chances are pretty good.
I've got to run good, consistent laps, have a good pit stop and finish up
near the front. That's where we need to be. Hopefully, we'll have enough for
the other hot rods tomorrow.

Dave Roush picked up his first-ever Sport Touring I pole at the wheel of the
Honda of America Racing Team (HART) No. 00 Acura RSX-S. Roush turned a
2:11.093 lap at 89.799 mph, shattering the ST I track record set by Jonathan
Bomarito in 2001 by nearly three seconds.

"The car is running great, but I'm surprised we won the pole. We were a
little off in testing yesterday, but it shows what new Hoosiers will do,"
said Roush.

"This is my first time on the pole, and it feels great. It's great that
Honda gave me this opportunity. Hopefully, they'll feel it was the right
decision. With the points race the way it is, the team decided to split up
John (Schmidt) and Pete (Halsmer). I'm looking forward to the race. I hope
to run consistent times and give Pete a good car. If it's anywhere near the
front, I'm sure he will get the job done."

Ed Magner scored his fourth Sport Touring II pole of the season during
qualifying, clocking a 2:20.541 lap at 83.762 mph in the WTF Engineering No.
48 Chevy Cavalier.

"This is our fourth pole of the year. Now, we need a good finish to go with
it. We've been struggling with a charging problem, but I think we got it
fixed this morning," noted Magner.

The 3 Hours of VIR will get underway at 3 p.m., on Saturday. For more
information on the VIR 400 event weekend, contact VIR at 888-RACE099 or

Doran-Lista Toyota Quickest at VIR

ALTON, Va. (October 3, 2003) -- The Doran-Lista Racing No. 27 Toyota Doran
JE4 led the Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series field during the opening
day of practice for the VIR 400 at Virginia International Raceway. Bill
Auberlen turned the fastest lap of the day, clocking a 1:46.351 lap at
110.690 mph during the morning session.

"Technically, we're making some gains. The team knows where they want to be
and they've got ideas of how to get there, and they're doing a great job of
getting there. They keep giving me a car that's consistently very good. I'm
quite happy," said Auberlen, who has teamed with Didier Theys in the No. 27
Daytona Prototype for its first three races.

"It's getting to be very fun to drive the Daytona Prototype. It was
difficult in the beginning at Watkins Glen, but now, with the aerodynamics
set up right, I can just horse it around like any other car and have fun
doing it. I think we've had a great shot to win every weekend -- we've just
had little gremlins messing us up. We were fast in every race, but just
little things set us back. Now we're here again, we just need to do the best
we can. I know the team is good, if I don't mess up too bad we should be
OK."

The other Doran JE4 in the field this weekend, the Chevy-powered No. 54
entry of Bell Motorsports, turned the second-quickest lap of the day with
its 1:47.101 lap at 109.915 mph in the morning, while the points-leading No.
58 Red Bull Porsche FABCAR of Brumos Racing was third fastest with a
1:47.709 lap at 109.294 mph during the afternoon practice.

The Scuderia Ferrari of Washington No. 33 Ferrari 360GT, which currently
leads the GT point standings, was fastest in its class and the Acxiom Grand
Touring division. Cort Wagner put together a 1:52.220 lap at 104.901 mph at
the wheel of the Ferrari in the morning session.

The GTS points-leading Heritage Motorsports No. 48 Mustang was at the front
of its class during practice. Tommy Riggins turned a 1:52.388 lap at 104.744
mph during the morning practice.

Pilgrim Testing with Bell Motorsports
GM Corvette factory driver Andy Pilgrim is back with the Bell Motorsports
No. 54 Chevy Doran JE4 team this weekend. The team was impressed with
Pilgrim's input in setting up the Daytona Prototype, and invited him back to
join the team this weekend. It is still undecided if he will run in Sunday's
VIR 400, or if regular drivers Terry Borcheller and Forest Barber will go it
alone.

Sasco Lends Marcus a Hand
The Marcus Motorsports team returned from Mont-Tremblant to find that its
race shop in ruins. High winds from Hurricane Isabel knocked trees through
the shop's roof, exposing the interior to the six-inches of rain that
followed. When Dunlop tire distributor Sasco found out that Marcus had no
place to prepare the No. 69 BMW M3, it opened up its facility at VIR's
Raceplex to the team.

Theys, Huisman Get Together
Belgium Didier Theys and Dutchman Patrick Huisman had a meeting of the minds
at the end of the morning practice session after the two drivers got
together on the track. The Doran-Lista Racing No. 27 Toyota Doran JE4
sustained right rear damage when the G&W Motorsports No. 8 BMW Picchio DP2
got into it shortly after exiting the pits.

While corners reported that the Doran JE4 hit curbing, bumping it into the
Picchio, Huisman admitted that he was distracted while talking on the radio
and did not see the Doran. Neither of the cars sustained major damage from
the incident.

Carrying on a Tradition
Simon Gregg will drive a bright orange Corvette in the GTS in this weekend's
VIR 400, co-driving the No. 40 entry with Kenny Wilden. Simon's father, the
late Peter Gregg, won the first two IMSA Camel GT races at VIR, driving
tangerine orange Porsches fielded by Brumos Racing.

"That's coincidental," Simon said of the color. "Our car was painted in
Derek Bell's colors, Gulf orange, for the Rolex 24 At Daytona." Gregg and
Wilden were joined by Derek and Justin Bell in the 2003 season opener, with
Justin Bell posting the fastest qualifying time.

Gregg and Hurley Haywood won the first-ever IMSA Camel GT race, held at VIR
in 1971, in a Porsche 914. The following year, the duo won here in a Porsche
911. Gregg, who wanted to become Porsche's U.S. factory team, painted the
cars orange -- Ferdinand Porsche's favorite color -- in hopes of attracting
his attention. Several years later, Bob Snodgrass painted the cars American
red, white and blue, a paint scheme repeated on the No. 59 Brumos Porsche
Fabcar Daytona Prototype driven by Haywood and J.C. France.

Both of the winning Porsches from 1971 and 1972 are on display in front of
the Pagoda in the Paddock, courtesy of Brumos Racing.

Davy Jones Back in Sports Car
Veteran sports and Indy car racer Davy Jones returns behind the wheel this
weekend in the G&W Motorsports No. 12 Nissan-powered Lola. "It feels great
to be back. It's a new car for the team, it's new for both Robert Prilika
and myself. The track is new for me, so we've got a steep learning curve.
But it feels good to be back in a real race car. I've got a pretty good feel
for the track after the nine laps I did today, and I'm anxious to get back
out and learn some more. I feel I've got a good enough feel for the track
where we can start working on the car more," said Jones.

Pen Pals To Visit VIR
The Marcus Motorsports No. 69 BMW M3 is carrying some new decals this
weekend in an effort to help promote awareness about the Pen Pals program.
Pen Pals is a unique partnership between Save Our Shelters and the Virginia
Department of Corrections that places hard to adopt dogs and cats with
carefully selected inmates for an intensive eight-week training program.
Upon graduation, the dogs, which are house trained, leash trained and
responsive to voice and hand commands, and socialized cats are placed for
adoption.

In addition to the publicity provide on the Marcus Motorsports BMW, members
of the Pen Pals program will be at VIR this weekend educating fans on the
benefits of the program.

You Say It's Your Birthday
Forest Barber is celebrating his 51st birthday today at Virginia
International Raceway. Barber is currently tied with his co-driver Terry
Borcheller for the points lead in the Grand-Am Cup Series Grand Sport II
driver standings and is seventh in the Rolex Series Daytona Prototype driver
points. When asked what he would like for his birthday, Barber laughed and
said, "two victories this weekend."

Also celebrating a birthday this weekend is Glenn Yee Motorsports entrant
and driver Geoff Escalette today and G&W Motorsports driver Steve Marshall
on Saturday.

Weekend Schedule of Events

Hurley Haywood may be asked to present the first place trophy to the winning
drivers of the Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series event. Haywood would
like to change that tradition in Sunday’s race, though. He would rather be
the driver receiving the first place honors, continuing his personal winning
tradition at Virginia International Raceway.

Haywood will be driving the Brumos Racing Porsche FABCAR in the 153-lap race
on the 3.27-mile VIR Full Course. The car carries the same No. 59 that
Haywood and Gregg had on their Porsche 914 when they won the first IMSA
Camel GT race ever, held at Virginia International Raceway in 1971.

The following year, Haywood and Gregg returned to VIR, where they won in a
Porsche 911.

“It’s great for Brumos to be returning to a site where they’ve been very
competitive and very successful,” said Haywood. “Certainly, VIR is the
prototypical road racing facility. It’s a fast and challenging facility, and
it’s been beautifully brought along by its new owners.

“I’m honored to have Brumos recognized for their accomplishments there.”

Haywood isn’t looking at winning the VIR 400 for old times sake. He’s
looking to the future, knowing a victory will bring him and co-driver J.C.
France closer to the inaugural Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series
Daytona Prototypes championship.

With only the Grand American Champions Weekend at Daytona International
Speedway on November 2 remaining on the schedule, Haywood and France are
fourth in the point standings with 310 points. Brumos Racing teammates David
Donohue and Mike Borkowski are tied for first with 319 points, eight ahead
of Bell Motorsports’ Terry Borcheller at 311. With 35 points available to
the winning car and drivers, the title is far from being decided, but
Haywood can't risk slipping any further back from the leaders leading up to
the Daytona finale.

Practice for the VIR 400 will get underway on Friday, October 3. Qualifying
will be held on Saturday, October 4, prior to the Grand-Am Cup Series 3
Hours of VIR, and the green flag will fly on the Rolex Series VIR 400 on
Sunday, October 5 at 12:30 p.m. ET.

The VIR 400 will be broadcast on a same-day tape delay on SPEED Channel,
with the three-hour broadcast starting at 4 p.m. ET on Sunday, October 5.

For more information on the VIR 400, contact VIR at 888-RACE099 or visit the
track’s website at www.virclub.com.

Rolex Series Points Race
With this weekend's VIR races the last stop before heading to Daytona for
the Grand American Champions Weekend presented by Brumos Porsche, the battle
for the points championships will be on everyone's minds.

Red Bull drivers David Donohue and Mike Borkowski hold an eight-point lead
over Bell Motorsports driver Terry Borcheller in the race to the first-ever
Daytona Prototypes championship. The two teams have battled for the lead on
the track and in the points for most of the season, and VIR will be critical
in their quests to be champion.

Ferrari of Washington drivers Cort Wagner and Brent Martini lead in the
Rolex Series GT driver standings with a 15-point advantage over Marcus
Motorsports drivers Brian Cunningham and Hugh Plumb. Heritage Motorsport
drivers Tommy Riggins and Dave Machavern can clinch the GTS driver champion
at VIR.

Four-time Porsche Supercup Champ Joins Local Team
Patrick Huisman, a four-time Porsche Supercup champion, will join Darren Law
at the wheel of the G&W Motorsports BMW-powered Picchio DP2 Daytona
Prototype for the VIR 400. The team, based at VIR, is coming off a strong
third-place finish in the 6 Heures du Circuit Mont-Tremblant and is looking
to continue its momentum at its home track.

Huisman, of The Netherlands, has been competing since 1988. After starting
in touring cars, he was German Porsche Carrera Cup rookie of the year in
1992. His breakthrough year was in 1997, when he won his first of four
consecutive Porsche Supercups.

One of the world’s premier road racing talents, Hurley Haywood, will serve
as grand marshal for the VIR 400 over the weekend of October 3-5, and the
Brumos Racing team, for which he drives and has driven since 1971, will also
be honored.

*********************
Haywood to Serve as Grand Marshal
Hurley Haywood will not only be racing in the VIR 400, but will also serve
as its Grand Marshall. The driver of the No. 59 Porsche Daytona Prototype is
the most accomplished American sports car racer in history, having won the
24 Hours of Le Mans three times, the Rolex 24 At Daytona five times and the
12 Hours of Sebring twice.

One of Haywood’s earliest professional racing accomplishments came at VIR in
1971, when he and the late Peter Gregg teamed up to win the inaugural IMSA
GT race in a Brumos Racing Porsche 914-6 GT. Haywood went on to capture the
season championship. The following year the duo again won at VIR in a Brumos
Porsche 911, and a second consecutive series title followed.

Brumos Racing will also have its VIR- and IMSA championship-winning 1971
Porsche 914-6 GT and 1972 Porsche 911 on display throughout the event
weekend and will participate in a lap of honor prior to the start of the VIR
400.

Julien, Dumoulin Take Powerful Points Lead with Fifth Win of Season
Borcheller, Barber Emerge On Top in Grand Sport II

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (September 26, 2003) -- Canadians Jean-Francois Dumoulin
and Robert Julien extended their points lead in the Grand-Am Cup Series
driver standings with their fifth victory of the season at Le Circuit
Mont-Tremblant last weekend. The Doncaster Racing No. 119 Porsche GT3 Cup
and its drivers now hold a 28-point advantage in both the driver and team
owner point standings over Michael Levitas and TPC Racing, which finished
second in last weekend's 250-mile race.

Powell Motorsports drivers Doug Goad and Devon Powell are tied for fourth
place in the standings, trailing the leaders by 39 points. Grand American
Road Racing Association officials impounded a part from the Powell
Motorsports No. 11 Corvette following last weekend's Grand-Am Cup race at
Mont-Tremblant and found that the part is in compliance with the rules. The
team and drivers received their full points and prize money from the event.

Terry Borcheller scored his 50th professional victory at Mont-Tremblant over
the weekend, winning the Grand Sport II class with co-driver Forest Barber
in the Bell Motorsports No. 54 BMW M3. The duo entered the race in a
four-way tie atop the driver point standings and emerged the leader
following the win. Borcheller and Barber now have a three-point advantage
over the Planet Earth Motorsports father-son duo of Joe and Wayne
Nonnamaker, which finished second in the No. 41 Porsche 911.

The Planet Earth Porsche leads the GS II team owner point standings, with a
14-point margin over Michael Baughman Racing.

Pete Halsmer and John Schmitt had a bite taken out of their powerful points
lead in the Sport Touring I class. The 13th-place finish by the drivers of
the Honda of American Racing Team (HART) No. 00 Acura RSX-S caused their
advantage to decrease from 21 to 14 points over Steve Pfeffer of TC Kline
Racing.

TC Kline Racing's No. 12 BMW Z4 entry continues at the front of the ST I
team owner point standings with a 21-point lead over HART.

The battle for the Sport Touring II points lead was previously a nail biter,
but Bill Fenton Motorsports driver Bob Beede now enjoys a comfortable
36-point lead over HRPworld.com drivers Will Nonnamaker and Howie
Liebengood, who are tied for second place. The large margin is due to the
loss of points for the Mont-Tremblant round by the drivers of both
HRPworld.com entries because of post-race technical inspection discoveries.

The Bill Fenton Motorsports No. 27 Acura Integra LS also took a 36-point
lead over the HRPworld.com No. 43 Acura in the team owner standings.

In the manufacturing standings, Porsche continues its dominance over
Chevrolet in the GS I class with a 51-point lead. BMW's third GS II win of
the season has given the German manufacturer a 13-point lead over Porsche in
the class. BMW also cut into Acura's lead in the ST I standings and now
trails the leader by only two points. However, Acura already clinched the
title in the ST II class with a 90-point advantage over Chevrolet.

The Grand-Am Cup Series Mont-Tremblant 250 will air on SPEED Channel this
Saturday, Sept. 27 at 1 p.m. ET. The series will return to action next
weekend in the 3 Hours of VIR on Oct. 4 at Virginia International Raceway.
For ticket information, visit www.virclub.com. Additional information about
the Grand-Am Cup Series, including the complete point standings, is
available online at www.grandamerican.com.

Grand-Am Cup Series Driver Point Standings

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (September 15, 2003) -- The Grand-Am Cup Series awards

only awarded points in the first car they drive. Only drivers holding valid
Grand American Road Racing Association memberships are awarded points. The
driver points reflect the top-10 drivers in each class after the ninth race
of the 11-race season.

Huisman Joins G&W Motorsports For VIR

ALTON, Va. (September 24, 2003) -- Patrick Huisman, a four-time Porsche
Supercup champion, will join Darren Law at the wheel of the G&W Motorsports
BMW-powered Picchio DP2 Daytona Prototype for the Grand American Rolex
Sports Car Series VIR 400 race at Virginia International Raceway, October
3-5.

The team, based at VIR, is coming off a strong third-place finish in last
weekend's 6 Heures du Circuit Mont-Tremblant and is looking to continue its
momentum at its home track.

“Mont-Tremblant was clearly a leap forward for us,” said team manager Price
Cobb. “Patrick has incredible talent and is a very experienced endurance
racer. I feel we will have a strong shot at winning, for sure.”

Huisman, of The Netherlands, has been competing since 1988. After starting
in touring cars, he was German Porsche Carrera Cup rookie of the year in
1992. His breakthrough year was in 1997, when he won his first of four
consecutive Porsche Supercups.

He has raced three times in the Rolex 24 At Daytona, including a fifth place
overall and second in GT2 in 1998 in a Porsche 911. Huisman was also a class
winner in 1999 in both the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 12 Hours of Sebring.

Law finished second in the Daytona Prototype class at the Nextel Grand Prix
of Miami, third at Phoenix and led the Paul Revere 250 at Daytona earlier
this season, although the team has struggled in recent events.

“I believe we should have won a couple races this year, but we’ve had our
share of bad luck,” said Cobb. “We’re reworked the car prior to
Mont-Tremblant. It’s like a big puzzle, and some of the components weren’t
interacting like they should. At Mont-Tremblant, the drivers had zero
complaints with the car, and we’re happy.

“The other teams think we’ve done tons of testing at VIR,” Cobb added. “We’
ve tested there, but not ‘tons.’ Patrick has done no testing in our car.
When he comes here to race, he’ll sign in and drive like everyone else.”

Red Bull Team Increases Points Lead With Mont-Tremblant Win

MONT-TREMBLANT, Quebec (September 21, 2003) -- The Brumos Racing No. 58 Red
Bull Porsche FABCAR Daytona Prototype team got a little more breathing room
in its race for the first-ever Daytona Prototypes championship by winning
the 6 Heures du Circuit Mont-Tremblant on Saturday. The team entered the
six-hour enduro with a slim one-point lead over the Bell Motorsports No. 54
Chevy Doran JE4 Daytona Prototype, but has now extending its margin to eight
points with the victory.

"We needed this win for a lot reasons. Not just the championship points, but
we needed the lift," said Red Bull driver David Donohue, who partnered with
Mike Borkowski and Sascha Maassen for the win. "Our guys had done their
homework. Our car was really good and reliable. The handling was really
good. Dave Kylm has built a car that has been really solid since the first
time it was rolled out on the track."

The Red Bull Porsche started the day in the pole position, but did battle
with both Doran JE4s during its run at the front. First the No. 58 car
fought for the lead with the Doran-Lista Racing Toyota-powered Doran JE4,
but shifter trouble knocked the car out of contention and eventually forced
its retirement from the race. Then the Red Bull machine went nose-to-nose
with its points rivals, the No. 54 Chevy-engined Doran JE4, but it too fell
victim to transmission trouble and lost 14 laps in the pits for repairs.

The G&W Motorsports No. 8 BMW Picchio DP2 Daytona Prototype of Darren Law,
Andy Lally and Guy Cosmo threatened for a portion of the race, until a
run-in with the Brumos Racing No. 59 Porsche resulted in suspension damage
that dropped the car out of contention for the lead. The No. 8 machine was
still able to hold on for a third-place finish in class, its best finish
since round three in Phoenix.

"We needed this one very bad. I'm so tired. I'm so worked from the steering,
but we hung in there. We came back from the suspension failure from the
accident and were able to hang on and get on the podium. The car has gotten
a lot better. Hopefully we'll improve on what we've been doing," said Darren
Law, who struggled with the No. 8 BMW's loss of power steering early in the
race.

An off-track excursion by the Brumos Racing No. 59 Porsche sent it into the
pits for an extended pit stop to remove debris, but the team was still able
to persevere for a second-place finish overall, two laps behind its
teammates in the Red Bull machine.

"Finishing first and second is what we came here to do. Of course I would
have liked to have it reversed. At least we were able to catch up to second.
That's what counts," said Hurley Haywood, who shared driving duties in the
No. 59 Porsche with J.C. France and Max Papis. Haywood and France are now
only one-point behind Terry Borcheller in the driver point standings.

The Ferrari of Washington No. 33 Ferrari 360GT was successful in defense of
its GT class victory, scoring an extra $5,000 bonus from the Acxiom Grand
Touring Challenge in the process. Drivers Cort Wagner and Brent Martini were
able to hold off the Rennwerks Motorsports No. 83 Porsche GT3 RS of Johannes
Van Overbeek, Seth Neiman and Lonnie Pechnik to take the class win and third
place overall after the two had battled for the class lead throughout the
six-hour race.

"Rennwerks really kept us on our toes today. They won the six hours at
Watkins Glen two laps from the end. Today, we changed positions. It was a
good race. I'll take third overall. This car didn't miss a shift for six
hours. Its so fun to drive," said Wagner, who was also part of Ferrari of
Washington's winning team last year.

"We were swapping the lead back and forth. At Watkins Glen we had luck on
our side and won, but today we were on the wrong side of a yellow flag and
didn't get the breaks we needed," said Neiman, whose No. 83 Porsche finished
second.

The Acme Motorsports No. 84 Porsche GT3 RS of Mark Hupfer, Paul Mortimer and
Tim McKenzie took third-place honors in the GT class.

Similar to the six-hour race earlier this year at Watkins Glen, the GTS
class victory went to the last car running. Once again the points leading
Heritage Motorsports No. 48 Mustang was struck with trouble early in the
race -- this time in the form of a steering rack.

The Georgian Bay Motorsports No. 38 Corvette took over the GTS lead when the
No. 48 Mustang dropped back. It held the lead until an off-track incident
spurred overheating problems that took drivers Jim Holtom, Ted Martin and
Stu Hayer out of the race with 1.5 hours remaining.

That allowed the driving trio of Tommy Riggins, David Machavern and Joao
Barbosa to move the No. 48 Mustang back to the front of the GTS class.

"The car was very good until the transmission broke. We were catching up to
the 38 car very quickly, then they had problems. We started taking it a
little bit easier then, but we had our own problems, as well," explained
Barbosa.

"We are sure having our troubles in the six-hour races, but Christmas comes
early. We broke really early today, fortunately the competition was very
benevolent. I feel good, because we came back from an early problem and
earned first place," said Riggins.

Georgian Bay Motorsports took second-place honors in the GTS class, while
the DLGL/Xemis Racing No. 01 Porsche was third.

The Rolex Sports Car Series will return to action at Virginia International
Raceway in the VIR 400, Oct. 3-5. Tickets are currently on sale online at
www.virclub.com. For more information, visit www.grandamerican.com.

Penalties Assessed Following Post-Race Inspection

MONT-TREMBLANT, Quebec (September 21, 2003) -- Grand American Road Racing
Association officials have assessed penalties on two cars and have impounded
a part from another after technical inspections following the completion of
the Grand-Am Cup Series Mont-Tremblant 250 Saturday.

The ST II-winning HRPworld.com No. 44 Acura and third-place #43 Acura were
found in violation of the rules. The No. 44 car was found with illegal
parts. The No. 43 car refused to comply with the inspection after the
discovery in the No. 44 car.

Officials have also impounded a part from the Powell Motorsports No. 11
Corvette. The part will be measured and inspected early next week to
determine if it is within the legal specifications.

Grand American officials said that the results of the race will not change,
but the offending entries will be penalized championship points, prize money
and additional fines.

Doncaster Racing Continues to Roll With Fifth Victory at Mont-Tremblant

MONT-TREMBLANT, Quebec (September 20, 2003) -- Doncaster Racing scored its
fifth victory of the season and third in a row at the Mont-Tremblant 250 on
Saturday. Jean-Francois Dumoulin took advantage of a spin by the leading
Powell Motorsports No. 11 Corvette with only five laps remaining in the race
and piloted the No. 119 Porsche GT3 Cup into the lead for the win.

Doug Goad was at the wheel of the No. 11 Corvette when he got into the back
of Eric Curran in the Sport Touring II-leading No. 27 Acura Integra LS of
Bill Fenton Motorsports.

"We were having problems with our brakes and a misfire. I got pinched by the
27, and that was the end of it. I thought he saw me, but I got myself in
that position because I was having problems," explained Goad.

"I was in the right place at the right moment," said Dumoulin, who has
benefited from the Corvette's misfortune for the second race in a row. Last
week at Mosport, brake trouble also ousted the Corvette from the lead while
Doncaster celebrated in Victory Lane.

Randy Pobst was also able to get around the Corvette during its spin and
posed a serious threat to Dumoulin's lead in the final laps of the race.
"Man that was so close. We had a couple of traffic incidents, but we were
really coming hard," remarked Pobst, who brought the TPC Racing No. 18
Porsche to the checkered flag in second place.

"Randy was fast. I had flat spotted my tires, and the car was shaking like
crazy, but we decided to stay out," said Dumoulin. "It was a real hard race
and a great drive."

Terry Borcheller captured his 50th professional victory with his win in the
Grand Sport II class, which propelled him and co-driver Forest Barber into
the class points lead.

"It's a really good feeling. We're also in the points lead now. Forest got
us off to a great start. Everything is really coming together for us. This
is a good time to really be coming hard with two races left," said
Borcheller, who has brought the Bell Motorsports No. 54 BMW M3 to Victory
Lane four times this year.

The Planet Earth Motorsports father-son duo of Joe and Wayne Nonnamaker took
second-place honors in the GS II class, while the Unitech Racing No. 33
Nissan 350Z of Mike Cronin and Stu Hayner rounded out the class podium.

In his first-ever Grand-Am Cup race, Guy Cosmo picked up the victory in the
Sport Touring I class. Cosmo partnered with Jim Hamblin in the Duane Neyer
Motorsports No. 38 BMW Z3 for the win.

"This was my first Grand-Am Cup win, and it was also my first Grand-Am Cup
race. I got the call Thursday morning that they had an empty seat. I've been
having fun every since. I had never had so much close racing for such a long
time. It was an absolute blast," said Cosmo.

The T.C. Kline Racing No. 12 BMW Z4 of Don Salama and Steve Pfeffer had been
running in second place in the ST I class until the final lap when it ran
out of gas, allowing the No. 36 BMW Z3 of Villaconn International to move
into second. The ICY/SL Motorsports No. 06 BMW Z3 of Steve Lisa and Dave
Rosenblum finished out the all-Bimmer podium.

Although the Bill Fenton Motorsports No. 27 Acura Integra LS held the Sport
Touring II lead in the final laps of the race, its run-in with the No. 11
Corvette allowed the HRPworld.com No. 44 Acura to gain ground on leader and
eventually overtake it.

"I was battling Eric Curran the whole time. He was really strong, but HRP
puts a really good car together, so I had something for him. I saw when Eric
and Goad got together. That caught me up to the back of Eric," explained
Mike Fitzgerald, whose co-driver Belinda Endress picked up her first
Grand-Am Cup victory.

The No. 27 Acura held on for a second-place finish in ST II, while the
HRPworld.com No. 43 Acura of Howie Liebengood and Will Nonnamaker took
third.

SPEED Channel will broadcast the Grand-Am Cup Series in the Mont-Tremblant
250 on Saturday, September 27 at 1 p.m. ET.

The Grand-Am Cup Series will return to action at Virgina International
Raceway on October 4 in the VIR Three Hour. Tickets are available online at
www.virclub.com. For more information, visit www.grandamerican.com.

Donohue Captures Fourth Pole of Season
Riggins, Wagner Win Acxiom Grand Touring Challenge Bonuses

MONT-TREMBLANT, Quebec (September 20, 2003) -- David Donohue will lead the
Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series field to the green flag for the
fourth time this season during Sunday's 6 Heures du Circuit Mont-Tremblant.
Donohue turned a 1:30.225 lap at 105.736 mph at the wheel of the No. 58 Red
Bull Porsche FABCAR Daytona Prototype of Brumos Racing.

"I'll have to admit that I ran a pretty good lap. I think I got almost 100
percent out of the car. All the Red Bull and Brumos guys have been
wonderful. We have two of the top caliber drivers in the world helping us
this weekend - Sascha (Maassen) and Max (Papis). Both of these guys fit
right in. They have great chemistry with the team," said Donohue.

"This morning in the autograph session some of the fans mentioned that my
father had great success here. On my last lap, I noticed a huge crowd. I
just kept it nice and smooth, and I thought about my father on my last lap.
I guess that is the first time that has ever happened. I was really hoping
to hold onto the pole for that reason," he added.

Bill Auberlen will line up beside Donohue for the start of the race in the
Doran-Lista Racing No. 27 Toyota Doran JE4 Daytona Prototype. Auberlen
clocked a 1:30.837 lap at 105.023 mph to give the team a good start in
defense of its 2002 victory at Mont-Tremblant.

"The car was much better than I thought it would be. There's more in it than
I got out of it. The guys are doing so much with this car that it's hard for
the drivers to keep pace with it. This is a great car to go racing with,"
said Auberlen. "Didier, Fredy and I all won here last year, so we know how
to get there. The key will be not to make mistakes and go smooth and
sensible."

Tommy Riggins and Cort Wagner both earned a $1,000 bonus from the Acxiom
Grand Touring Challenge for earning the poles in the GTS and GT classes,
respectively.

Riggins earned his eighth GTS pole of the season in the Heritage Motorsports
No. 48 Mustang, clocking a 1:34.307 lap at 101.159 mph. The lap smashed the
GTS track record set last year by Hugo Guenette by 4.816 seconds.

"We've been doing a lot of different things with the car, changing the set
up. Joao (Barbosa) has been a big help, because he brings a fresh feel for
the car," said Riggins. "Right now I think we have a good setup. I think we
can maintain a strong pace for the six hours. Our challenge is going to be
to keep it running."

Although Wagner picked up his seventh GT pole of the season in the Scuderia
Ferrari of Washington No. 33 Ferrari 360GT, with his 1:35.720 lap at 99.666
mph, he was not entire happy with his qualifying lap.

"Actually, the car had less grip than in practice. The track felt slicker -
either it was cooler or there was dust on the track. Our car is balanced, so
I don't know why we didn't have more temperature in the tires. We were
faster in practice than qualifying. We'll have to figure it out and be
better tomorrow," remarked Wagner.

The green flag will fall on the six-hour enduro at 11 a.m. on Sunday. SPEED
Channel will broadcast the start and finish of the race live. Opening
coverage will begin at 11 a.m. ET and continue until 1 p.m. ET. SPEED
Channel will return to the race at 3 p.m. ET and follow it through to the
checkered flag at 5 p.m.

Zippo Live Timing & Scoring is available for all of the practice and
qualifying sessions, as well as the races, on the official Grand American
website - www.grandamerican.com.

Rolex Series Points Leaders Quickest In Opening Practices
Powell Motorsports Tops Grand-Am Cup Field

MONT-TREMBLANT, Quebec (September 19, 2003) -- The points leaders of the
Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series showed why they are on top of the
standings during the opening day of practice at Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant as
they all posted the quickest lap times in their respective classes.

The No. 58 Red Bull Porsche FABCAR Daytona Prototype of Brumos Racing led
the field on Friday by nearly two seconds, posting the quickest time of the
day with its 1:31.739 lap at 103.991 mph. The Bell Motorsports No. 54 Chevy
Doran JE4, which trails the Red Bull Porsche by only one point in the
standings, turned the second-fastest time of the day with its 101.855 mph
lap in 1:33.663.

The No. 33 Girard Perregaux Ferrari 360GT of Scuderia Ferrari of Washington
topped the GT class during practice with its 1:35.595 lap at 99.796 mph,
while the Heritage Motorsports No. 48 Mustang was fastest in the GTS class
with a 1:36.426 lap at 98.936 mph.

In Grand-Am Cup Series practice for Saturday's Mont-Tremblant 250, Powell
Motorsports was tops in both of Friday's practice sessions. The No. 11
Sunoco Corvette clocked its fastest lap of the day in the morning, putting
together a 1:43.376 lap at 92.284 mph. The Foxhill Racing No. 79 Porsche GT3
Cup was second fastest in Grand-Am Cup, turning a 1:45.033 lap at 90.829 mph

II class with its 1:49.241 lap at 87.330 mph, while the Honda of America

Hot Shoes Adjusting To New Rides

MONT-TREMBLANT, Quebec (September 19, 2003) -- The list of star drivers has
expanded this weekend at Mont-Tremblant with several top Grand American
Rolex Sport Car Series teams adding a third driver to contest the grueling
six-hour enduro. Sascha Maassen, Max Papis and Andy Pilgrim are among the
international stars getting their first experience behind the wheel of a
Daytona Prototype this weekend. Most are also visiting Le Circuit
Mont-Tremblant for the first time in their careers.

With the points chase in the Daytona Prototypes class nearly a dead heat
among the top three teams, a lot is at stake this weekend and each team is
hoping that their guest drivers will give them edge to finish up in front on
Sunday.

"I'm really impressed. The car is giving a great performance. And I'm happy,
as well, to be on this track. It's a beautiful track, but very, very
challenging," said Porsche factory driver Sascha Maassen, who will be
helping out points leaders David Donohue and Mike Borkowski in the No. 58
Red Bull Porsche FABCAR Daytona Prototype of Brumos Racing this weekend. "I
like the car. It handles good. It has more power than I'm used to and more
grip, so my first impression is good."

Maassen, who is known for his worldwide accomplishments at the wheel of a
GT-class Porsche, was pleased with the new Daytona Prototype class. "The
main thing is that you have a lot of competition. If other people have the
same car, then you have a full grid, and that is the important thing. Even
if you have a go-kart, and you have a full grid with good drivers and a good
show, it's exciting. But with this car, of course, it is better. The more
power you have, the better it is," he remarked.

Champ car veteran Max Papis is also lending his driving skills to the Brumos
Racing team during the 6 Heures du Circuit Mont-Tremblant. The Italian racer
is partnering with Hurley Haywood and J.C. France in the No. 59 Porsche
Daytona Prototype, which is currently third in the point standings.

"I have only gotten a few laps so far. I really need to get some more laps.
I really love the Porsche, but it's pretty tough to learn the track and
learn the car with a new team," noted Papis. "I'm really glad I'm here. The
track is beautiful. The cars sound great. I'm looking forward to a really
great weekend."

While this weekend's race will be the first for GM factory Corvette driver
Andy Pilgrim in the Bell Motorsports No. 54 Chevy Doran JE4 Daytona
Prototype, he already turned several laps at the wheel of the car. Pilgrim
tested the Chevy Daytona Prototype at Daytona International Speedway in July
and Mosport International Raceway last week.

"I haven't been here before, so I’m learning the track and car still,"
remarked Pilgrim. "I like the car a lot. It's a great piece. It's very
balanced. As a driver, working with the engineers and Jim (Bell), when you
make a change, the car responds to the change and that’s really the sign of
a good design. It's a really nice time to drive. I am very much enjoying
it."

Also making his first appearance at the wheel of a Daytona Prototype this
weekend is Fredy Lienhard Sr., who has teamed with Bill Auberlen and Didier
Theys in the Doran-Lista Racing No. 27 Toyota Doran JE4. Lienhard was
scheduled to make his Daytona Prototype debut along with the car at the
Bully Hill Vineyards 250 in August, but illness kept him home and Auberlen
subbed for him.

Daytona Prototype teams are not the only ones bringing in reinforcements for
this weekend's endurance race. Joao Barbosa has joined Heritage Motorsports
drivers Tommy Riggins and Dave Machavern this weekend in the GTS points
leading No. 48 Mustang.
"It's a very, very different car. I had to get used to the driving style,
and talking with Tommy yesterday, he gave me some tips that helped a lot,"
said Barbosa, who raced against the Mustang in a Mosler MT900R for the first
half of the season before his team's funding dried up. "The car is very
fast. It has power, and the handling is very good. It's a totally different
driving style than what I’m used to, but I think I'm getting there slowly."

Qualifying for the 6 Heures du Circuit Mont-Tremblant will get underway on
Saturday at 12:25 p.m. The green flag will fall on the six-hour enduro at 11
a.m. on Sunday. SPEED Channel will broadcast the start and finish of the
race live. Opening coverage will begin at 11 a.m. ET and continue until 1
p.m. ET. SPEED Channel will return to the race at 3 p.m. ET and follow it
through to the checkered flag at 5 p.m.

Zippo Live Timing & Scoring is available for all of the practice and
qualifying sessions, as well as the races, on the official Grand American
website - www.grandamerican.com.

Tight Points Race, Six-Hour Endro Brings Out Top Names

With the points race for the first-ever Daytona Prototypes championship
coming down to the wire, all of the top teams are bringing out some of the
best drivers in the world to lend a hand during the second six-hour
endurance of the season.

Porsche factory driver Sascha Maassen will join Brumos Racing in the
points-leading No. 58 Red Bull Porsche FABCAR Daytona Prototype. Maassen is
regarded as one of the world’s top endurance racers. After a pair of
runner-up finishes at the 24 Hours of LeMans, he scored a class victory in
the French classic earlier this year. His best Rolex 24 At Daytona finish
came in 2002 with fourth place overall and a class podium finish. Earlier
this year, he scored his third-consecutive class victory in the 12 Hours of
Sebring.

GM Corvette Racing driver Andy Pilgrim will join the Bell Motorsports team
in the No. 54 Chevy Doran JE4 Daytona Prototype, which is currently one
point out of the lead in the point standings. As one of the original members
of the Corvette Racing Team, Pilgrim has scored five victories with the
team. The English native scored his second of two class victories at the
Rolex 24 At Daytona in 2002, winning the American GT class in the Flis
Motorsports #09 Corvette. His first Rolex 24 class win came in 1997 at the
wheel of a Porsche.

Veteran Champ Car and sports car racer Max Papis will share driving duties
in the Brumos Racing No. 59 Porsche FABCAR Daytona Prototype, which is third
in the point standings. Papis is a three-time winner in CART Champ Car
competition and the overall winner of the 2002 Rolex 24 At Daytona.

Three Mont-Tremblant Winners to Defend Doran-Lista 2002 Victory

Three winners from last year's 6 Heures du Circuit Mont-Tremblant will
partner in the Doran-Lista Racing No. 27 Toyota-powered Doran JE4 Daytona
Prototype in defense of the team's 2002 overall victory. Didier Theys and
Fredy Lienhard Sr., who were part of the Doran-Lista winning team last year,
will join forces with Bill Auberlen, who took GT honors last year at
Mont-Tremblant in addition to finishing second overall.

Auberlen and Theys partnered in the No. 27 Toyota at its debut in the Bully
Hill Vineyards 250 at The Glen, where they scored a third-place finish in
the Daytona Prototypes class.

Borcheller Aiming for 50th

Terry Borcheller will be looking for his 50th professional race win this
weekend in a double-header at Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant. Borcheller and
Forest Barber will start with the Grand-Am Cup race, driving the Bell
Motorsports No. 54 BMW M3. They'll switch to the Bell Motorsports No. 54
Chevy Doran JE4 Daytona Prototype for the six-hour endurance race on Sunday.

Rivals to Become Teammates

Heritage Motorsports drivers Tommy Riggins and Dave Machavern have battled
with Joao Barbosa for the points lead in the Rolex Series GTS class for most
of the season. Now the rivals are becoming teammates as Barbosa is set to
join the Heritage duo in the No. 48 Mustang this weekend. Barbosa held the
points lead in the GTS class for the first half of the season, racing in a
Mosler MT900R. But when his team's sponsorship money dried up, he was left
without a ride, prompting Heritage Motorsports to ask him to join the team.

Bull drivers David Donohue and Mike Borkowski hold onto a slim one-point

Rob Morgan Returns to Grand American Racing at Mont-Tremblant

COSTA MESA, Calif. (September 17, 2003) – Rob Morgan, former NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series veteran and driver on the 2002 Grand American Rolex AGT Team Champion, Morgan-Dollar Motorsports, will compete in the Mont-Tremblant 250 Grand-Am Cup event at Les Circuit Mont-Tremblant this Saturday.

Morgan, who competed in the first two Grand American Rolex events of this season, including a second-place finish in the GTS class and 10th overall, will be back in action this weekend with a new team in the Grand-Am Cup race on Saturday, and hopes to run Sunday as well.

Morgan will be driving the No. 64 Glenn Yee Motorsports Porsche GT3 Cup for the fellow Californians. Morgan, who now resides in Costa Mesa, will make his Grand-Am Cup debut in the Grand Sport I class car owned and co-driven by Geoff Escalette of San Dimas, Calif. Escalette, scored an eight-place finish in the Lexus Grand American 250 at California Speedway in June.

The 95-lap, 250-mile race is slated to start at 2:15 pm EST on Saturday. The Grand-Am Cup Series is a national championship road racing series for a whole different breed of stock cars. Unlike the familiar NASCAR stock cars, Grand-Am Cup cars really are the same cars you and your neighbors drive every day. These cars from American, European and Japanese manufacturers have been modified to maximize safety and stabilize handling, but for the most part they are straight off the showroom floor.

Morgan, who has three career wins in 13 starts in the Grand American Rolex Series, is looking forward to the challenge, “I really fell in love with this track when we were up here last year in our Rolex car. It’s a really fast, competitive track and I am very excited about racing here and being back in Grand American competition.”

Rob will be looking to add to his Grand American accomplishments that included two wins, one pole and a track record at Watkins Glen en route to a Team Championship in the AGT class in 2002. “I am looking forward to the opportunity that Geoff and the No. 64 team have given me. Geoff showed that he has the talent and the equipment needed to get the job done in the California race. I believe we will be very competitive this weekend ,” stated Morgan.

The Mont-Tremblant 250 will be broadcast on SPEED Channel on September 27 at 1 p.m. ET. Tickets are available online at www.lecircuit.com or at the gate.

BOSS MotorSports Adds Crawford Daytona Prototype
Team to Participate in Sports Car Racing Events in 2004

IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (September 16, 2003) –BOSS MotorSports founder, David Brule, announced today that his team has purchased a Crawford DP03 Daytona Prototype and will participate in select sports car racing events in 2004, beginning with the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona. The car, which will be powered by a Chevrolet V-8, is one of four prototypes currently under construction at Crawford Race Cars in Denver, N.C.

BOSS MotorSports, a division of BOSS Products – makers of The BOSS Snowplow – currently sponsors an off-road truck in the Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR) Series. “We believe there is a natural connection between our brand and the racing lifestyle,” said Brule. “We look forward to continuing our support especially as we grow and evolve as a racing team.”

While the Crawford prototype will be BOSS MotorSports’ first venture into sports car racing, it is not anything new to Brule who has been road racing since 1995. “I started racing in ’95 with the Skip Barber School Series and have been very active since 1999 with Porsche club events,” Brule explained. “I got to know Max Crawford in 2001 when he did some work on my Porsche. I heard about the Daytona Prototypes a year ago and was intrigued by the concept, so I immediately called Max to see if he was going to be building any. He said he was but wanted to perfect his design so his car wouldn’t be ready until the end of 2003. I decided to wait and in the meantime did some research into the stability of Grand American and its future direction. A couple of months ago I met with Max at his shop to review the design and discuss his perspective on the series. Everything made sense, so I decided to get involved.”

According to Brule the team is planning to run in select events in 2004 beginning with the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona. “We’re getting the car from Crawford in mid-November, and they will have already tested it and gotten most things sorted out," Brule added.

Brule will drive at the Rolex 24 Hours with Elliott Forbes-Robinson and two other drivers that are yet to be named. Brule and Forbes-Robinson became close friends after working together as student and teacher. “EFR was my first coach when I started racing sports cars, and we really hit it off. His expe
