Driving the No. 2, '65 Chevelle for long-time
friend Bud Rambo at the Appalachian Speedway in Kingsport in 1969,
Bill Morton set five track records and won 12-straight feature races
en route to 23 feature wins during the remarkable season.
Bill Morton of Church Hill, Tenn., drove
this fuel-injected '34 Chevy to the 1967 modified track championship
at Kingsport (TN) Speedway. This car is currently on display at
the International Motorsports Hall of Fame museum in Talladega,
Ala., at the Talladega Superspeedway.
