Had a good birthday.... I received several e-mailed birthday best wishes, a few by mail and a couple by phone. Even heard from a couple of my high school classmates who sent e-mailed birthday wishes! We have remained friends all these years. Heard from some racing friends who go way back..... and an ARMY buddy from 30+ years ago.

Yep... it was a good day. When you get cards, phone calls and messages from friends who have been your friends for 30 or 40 years.... or more..... it's a good day. One of those e-mailed birthday wishes I got this morning, (EARLY this morning), was from a childhood friend. Now that covers a lot of years!   HA HA

By the way.... after last year's disasterous forest fire caused by the birthday cake candles, Sue decided to forego the candles this year. we just had the cake without the candles.

Hey Lynn, I hope you had a very and here's wishing you many, many, many more!!!!! You're one-of-a-kind, a super-good person.

It hit me while driving back from Kingsport yesterday (Friday) that it was ol' "SpeedRacer's" birthday. I can remember your birthday because you were almost a New Year's baby.

Good decision on eliminating the candles, because besides the risk of forest fire it's a given all the heat would of melted the cake's icing. HA HA HA HA HA
