Okay, today's the day when the two teams that will meet two weeks from now in the Super Bowl will be decided.
In the AFC, the Pittsburgh Steelers play the Baltimore Ravens at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. Temperatures in the upper 20s and a chance of snow is predicted.
In the NFC, the Philadelphia Eagles play the Arizona Cardinals. Great game-time conditions, as the game will be played indoors with the roof closed at University of Phoenix Stadium.
I know, to a lot of people they feel the game should be played outdoors in the elements. But my feeling(s) about that ... I like seeing the games played when weather conditions don't factor in. When it's rainy, that makes for slippery field conditions. When it's cold, well, it's COLD ... and I don't believe the best ball is played when it's real cold. I like seeing good field and weather conditions, then let the talent of the players decide the outcome.
Who will the winners be from the respective divisions?
I hope the Pittsburgh Steelers win in the AFC, and Arizona Cardinals win in the NFC.
The Ravens' offense isn't that good, but they've got a heckuva good defense. Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had better be careful if he throws in the direction of defensive back Ed Reed.
I hope Cardinals QB Kurt Warner has a good game and takes the team to the Super Bowl, which would be the first time ever for the franchise, even dating back to when they played in St. Louis.
Warner would also be just the second quarterback ever to guide two different teams to the Super Bowl. Here's a trivia question: Name the other quarterback.
