Please remember Darroll and Cindy Lane's family in your prayers. Darroll's dad B.C. died yesterday from a heart attack. It is a shock to us all.

Goodness gracious.

Cindy and Darroll,

I can't begin to imagine what you are feeling. Our prayers go out to you two and your family.

Hang in there,

Bug

Cindy and Darroll, may God comfort you in your time of need. Give Him an opportunity and He will show His power.

Cindy and Darroll, I sure hate hearing this.

I pray God will comfort the Lane family in your time of sorrow.

I know they appreciate every prayer that had went out for them.

B.C. will be greatly missed. A void is left with him passing for not only his family and friends but also for anyone that had the pleasure to meet him. He was a soft spoken man with a kind heart that loved to fish, hunt, racing and just sit around and talk with folks.

It is so hard to loose a loved one that has been so sick for so, but when one goes so unexpected it so hard to believe that they are gone. It just knocked the breath right out of your soul.

Still remember them in your prayers. It has been a shock to all who knew him.

I feel ya Woo-Woo.

2 years ago, I went to Huntington to attend the first  Marshall-WVU football game ever played on Marshall's home field. I hung out that weekend with my sister and brother-in-law. We had a great time.

The next day, we all went to church, then out to my brother's for "Sunday dinner". After eating and a little last-minute socializing, I left. My brother-in-law walked out with me. I asked him where he was headed and he replied that he was going to play basketball in Kenova (just west of Huntington on the WV/KY border) at the gym, and that they had been getting together for quite some time on Sunday afternoons to play. I remember telling him to take it easy...not to school the young boys too bad, and off we went; he to the gym and me to Tennessee.

About 10 minutes after arriving home, I got a phone call. It was my dad. He told me my brother-in-law (who by the way is the same age and graduated the same year as I) had collapsed while playing basketball in Kenova that afternoon and that they were at the hospital. I told dad I knew he had gone to play because we had walked out of my brother's house together talking about it. Then I asked how he was doing. When my dad replied "He didn't make it", I can't begin to tell you how I felt. It had been literally a few hours since I had seen him. The feeling was so surreal...

...obviously, my sister was heart-broken (and still is). Like Darroll's dad, Rodney was a really good man and actually appears to have had the same overall demeanor. He loved to fish, hunt, was extremely neighborly, and really, really loved racing and working on cars.

Once again, my heart sincerely goes out to Darroll and Cindy. I just can't imagine losing my father in that manner. My thoughts and prayers are with Darroll and Cindy today and beyond.
