Hey ya'll.  I'm back after a long time away from here.

The last couple of years have truly been the worst.  My mom had taken ill with a simple urinary tract infection.  After 18 months of doctor visits every three weeks and all kinks of different meds, she became very ill and I put her in the hospital.  She was very physically fit, could do circles around my cousins in their gym workouts.

The great doctor - the best around here, hah!  Seems he discovered she had stage four bladder cancer and he just acted as if he wiped dirt off his jacket.  I could have punched him through the hospital room window!  Arrgghh.

Mom fought the battle and was beating the cancer.  But Dr. Dingbat neglected her  and put off her immediate needs for catheter replacement - giving specific instructions to the cancer staff and the hospital that only HE could fix the catheter issues.  This turned into a septic infection that killed her within a few days.

I spent the last year in a deep depression, losing her so fast because of someone's stupidity and ignorance.  If only he had sent her across the street from his office to have a 3D image, he would have found the cause of the entire problem many months in advance.  18 months of different meds did not do anything but prolong her ever growing pain.

We were very close, as most of you know.  Amazing how much her family has treated me like crap.  There was never an offer to help her when she was sick, but the sure helped themselves to what she left behind.  I was an only child and all my life they never treated me this way or raised their voice over anything!  All I have gotten was some of her furniture and personal stuff.  I am sure she would have not made them executors of her estate had she known what they were going to do.

I figure they'll get theirs when they have to answer to the man upstairs.  Greed runs deep in some people.  When they said I needed to pay $10000 or more in bills, I told them to eat some green paper and hope it comes out in hundreds.  Had I known they were going to sell her property for almost $40000 less than the tax appraisal, I would have had them removed as executors.  Pretty sneaky to wait until 2 weeks before closing to tell me to clear out her belongings.  Can't get into court to stop the sale that fast.  Just one of many stunts they pulled on me.

And that Dr. Dingbat, well the State of Fl had just revised the law about malpractice a month before I put her in the hospital.  I can't do anything to that jerk.  No wonder he was so smug and smiled when he said "oops, guess I gave her too many pills, huh?"  Felt like smoke was coming out my ears when he said those words -  !!!

My mission, to find out how to repeal a law that I think is unconstitutional.  This will be interesting.  Also, there is no protocol when it comes to treating women with bladder illness.  Just a stab in the dark and a lot of pills.  Amazing how many women have died in the last couple of years from this same type of treatment.

For my mom, I am trying to find out how to make a change that helps more people, not hurt them.

And when Little E. feels like he's not alone on the track, it's mom telling him how to drive - LOL!  She loved Dale Jr. and wanted to visit his shop and meet him.  Too bad that never happened.

Hello there redlinefever, I've wondered where you'd been, you used to be on here quite a bit. I'm very sorry to hear about your mom, I realize how tough those things can be.....and yes, the medical system (or at least those involved with it) can be their own worst enemy at times. I would like to invite you to jump in on Shawn's fantasy league, it's still early in the season so you've got plenty of time to catch up with us. And, it's fun too! Please don't be a stranger......and welcome back, we've missed you!!

Robbie

So sorry to hear to hear what you have been though with your mom. Family can be your own worst enemies. Be thankful that you answer for no one else but yourself come judgment day. In most cases the one that does the most get treated the worst. Family you didn't even know will come out of the woodwork after they are dead and gone.

So glad to see you back on here. Wondering were you were. Not many gals left on here to keep these guys straight!!

How is the rest of the family doing? My "baby" is suppose to be getting married May 1ST. I think they both need to grow up some before they take the leap. But what do I know. I'm old Josh said. I tell him there is a difference between being young and dumb and old and stupid.

Seen anymore of RW'S favorite pets in your backyard? Need to UPS or FedEx one or two of them!!!!

Thanks ya'll for the thoughts, it is nice to know I have friends that understand.

Update on the boys:

The bullrider went to work for a steel mill so his long hours and work schedule put an end to his rodeo days.  He still gets the urge, but he knows if he gets hurt and misses work, he could be on the lay off list or stuck on night shift again - .  Plus his girlfriend is going to school in Texas now, so he does a lot of flying back and forth.  He's learned, book early and fly the odd hours and you can go pretty cheap.  At least she doesn't want marraige until she graduates from college and by then they might both be mature enough, he'll be close to 30.  But then again, my nephew (one of his close buds) is 30 and still a wild child.  hhhmmm.

Baby boy is a senior at UF.  He's in the Rinker School of Construction.  Yeah, I figured it was like a tech program but it is quite an intense program.  Very hard to get into, only about 125 students out of 5000+ per semester make the cut!  He still works for a contractor part time and also does blueprints for people building houses and barns and etc.  No wonder mom always called him The Little Trumpster - a Donald Trump in the making!

He's spending spring break finishing a house that is going to Spain for an international building conference this summer.  I sure hope they can come up with the rest of the funds for their trip.  Otherwise, he has to add to his student loans.  I'll get the website info and ya'll can check it out.  Pretty cool thing.  Who'd ever thought Spain would partner with the US on this "green building" thing!

He's still got the racecar, moved up to sportsman late model class and then the track closed.  I wonder what happened to his fan club of young women?  Sometimes they got in our way, swooning and swarming around him - lol!  He always went to the stands after his class raced.  He called it "PR work".  Yeah, right.  Finaly got the new motor and she's ready to ride again. I'll post a pic when I can get my camera to give birth to it -  digital thing  arrggghh!

Yeah, our kids think we're old and stupid.  Then when things go wrong, they come back needing help - I guess that's what parents are for .... glue back the broken pieces and put a foot in their butt and send back to fight the world again!

BTW, where's bugman?  I kinda got into a little disturbance with a dude that looked like Sasquatch.  He'd be proud of me - lol.  I'll give details later when I find the video from last season.  Friggin idiot - momma's don't take any crap!

Sorry about your Mother it  is one of the worst times in your life when you lose your mother and the way it happened with your mother seems like it could have clearly been avoided. Dr's have so many patients now dont think they have time to follow up like they should just get them in and give med's and get them out fast as they can. I can say I have a good Dr. and he has always sent me for tests if he doesnt know what is causing the problem but not all are like that.
