2014 Brings New Management to Kingsport Speedway

KINGSPORT, TN: New management is coming to Kingsport Speedway this season. Speculations have ran high throughout the off-season, and now the questions have been answered. Keith and Ervin Stiltner will take over the operations of the speedway beginning this season.

Karen Tunnell has been named as promoter and general manager of the speedway. Tunnell has worked alongside Robert Pressley for the past three seasons and worked in motorsports her entire life. Tunnell has worked at Kingsport Speedway and Lonesome Pine Raceway multiple times, as well as serving as competition director at Volunteer Speedway. “I’m very excited for this opportunity. This has always been my dream, I and can’t wait to get started,” said Tunnell.

Tunnell says she plans to keep everything mostly the same as what it has been. “I plan to take what Robert (Pressley) has done the past three years and continue with them,” said Tunnell.

Division meetings are planned in the coming weeks. More information will be released as it becomes available.
