'Mountain Empire Fence Co. Night at the Races' scheduled Friday, April 25 at Kingsport Speedway

KINGSPORT, Tenn. — Kingsport Speedway will host Mountain Empire Fence Co. Night at the Races on Friday, April 25. The racing program will feature five divisions of NASCAR Whelen All-American Series racing, headlined by the Late Model Stocks battling for 60 laps, along with Street Stock (30 laps), Pure 4 (25 laps), Mod 4 (20 laps), and Rookie Pure 4 (20 laps) action at the .375-mile banked concrete oval.

Kres VanDyke of Claypool Hill, Va., remains perfect having recorded two Late Model Stock victories to begin the season. VanDyke leads Ryan Stiltner of Grundy, Va., Derrick Lancaster of Christiansburg, Va., Paul Nogradi Jr. of Clinton, and Zack Walton of Blountville in the point standings.
 
Alan Rich of Sylva, N.C., holds a four-point advantage over Bristol's Nick Cole in the Street Stock point standings, with Rob Austin of Castlewood, Va., Jared Broadbent of Spruce Pine, N.C., and Surgoinsville's John Harrell rounding out the top five in points. Both Rich and Harrell have recorded one victory.

Kingsport drivers John Ketron and Kenny Absher each have captured one Pure 4 victory and are tied in the divisional point standings, with Keith Helton, Jon Pittman and B.C. Penley completing the top five in points.
 
Michael "Mook" Jeter and Brandon Crumbley, both from Kingsport, are separated by only two points in the Rookie Pure 4 standings, with Andrew Hill, Tim Jennings and Craig Phelps rounding out the top five in points. Both Jeter and Crumbley have each visited victory lane once.

Rocky Yates of Abingdon, Va., holds a two-point advantage over Freddie Taylor Jr. in the Mod 4 point standings, followed by Billy Duty, Dennis Arnold and Joshua Gobble.

The pit gate opens Friday, April 25 at 12 p.m. with early practice scheduled between noon and 4 p.m. at $50 per car, while the grandstands and tier-parking gates opening at 5:30 p.m.

Practice is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., with qualifying at 7 p.m. The invocation and national anthem will take place at 8 p.m., to be followed by green flag racing activities.

Adult grandstand admission $10, with kids 12-and-under admitted free. Adult tier-parking admission $10 per person (plus a $10 vehicle parking spot fee). Pit passes are $25 with a NASCAR license, $35 without a license. NASCAR license forms are available at the track office during the week, and they will also be available at pit sign-in the day of event.
