Of course you can still play, but you are mathematically eliminated from The Chase. The most points you can score in a single event is 48 & the lowest anyone can score is ZERO. No way to make up that 51-point deficit. After the Dover race, The Chase field will be cut to 12 players.

You will still be battling for 5th-through-16th positions. Following the Dover event, the Top 12 will receive a 1,000-point bonus. Once they are eliminated, any 1,000-point bonuses will be deducted; leaving them with the 2,000-point base plus bonus points & Chase points. It's confusing, but it will make more sense once you see it happening. Keep trying to score as many points as possible, because you can still finish as high as 5th.
