2015 FASTRAK Racing Series Season Year in Review

(CARNESVILLE, GEORGIA) – Wow has time flew by and what a racing season. As a matter of fact, it has been a spectacular 2015 FASTRAK Racing Series season. With the battle for the Southeast championship after a great battle to the wire that came down to Lavonia, GA with four drivers that we’re merely separated by -32 points to decide the $10,000 top prize. The drivers for the Southeast title came down to Ron Parker, David Smith, Colby Cannon and Cla Knight. When the events concluded in the GA State Championships Sunday evening at Lavonia, GA Parker was able to be the driver at the top of the “FASTRAK Mountain” taking his first career championship and pocketing $10,000 dollars in close out what’s been a phenomenal season. Then the repeat championship in what was formally known as the northeast now (MOV) Mid Ohio Valley region. The driver of the #77 Rocket chassis from New Martinsville, WV Joel Prosser was able to go back to back as the repeat champion.

The new debut in 2015 was the FASTRAK National Tour when the season concluded in September it was the #87 of Forrest, VA and $15,000 FASTRAK WORLD Champion Walker Arthur who reigned supreme for both being the champion at Virginia Motor Speedway and then National Tour champion. Plus once the points for the weekly championship ended it was the driver of the #8 Daniel Hill being awarded the 2015 FASTRAK Weekly Racing Series Champion where he’ll be awarded the top honor in January at the FASTRAK “Night of Champions” coming up in January 2016 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

It was another crazy season of dealing with mother nature and rain outs but through it all everyone prevailed and the 2015 race season concluded to be the biggest season in a while and what is already shaping up to come in 2016 is will be definitely even more phenomenal than what this season had. The race season for the FASTRAK Racing Series which consisted of the Southeast, Mid Ohio Valley and New National Tour had 20 races in 2015 with fourteen different winners on the season and five repeat winners, ‘HotRod’ Steve LaMance (Toccoa, Lavonia), Kennie Compton (Beckley, Princeton), Corey Gordon (Travelers Rest, VMS – World Challenge Champion), Ron Parker (Wythe, Toccoa, and also Triple Crown, East Coast Rumble and Southeast $10,000 Tour Champion) and then finally Walker Arthur (both wins coming at VMS) and becoming also the FASTRAK World Champion and inaugural National Tour champion.

There is nothing more monumental and exciting to watch a driver breakthrough with FASTRAK and become a first time winner. With the fourteen different winners on the 2015 season there we’re nine different single race winners with five of them becoming 1st time winners on the most competitive pro (crate) late model sanctioning body in the universe. Colby Cannon (Lavonia), Daniel Baggerly (VMS), Ryan Montgomery (Elkins) with also Henry Hornsby III and Billy Beachler taking first time wins during the twins features night in August at (Tyler County). In closing Tim Dohm (I-77) and 2014 World Champion, Matt Long (Tyler County) and Jensen Ford (Wythe) all we’re able to take down wins in 2015. Almost 150+ different drivers from Georgia to Pennsylvania we’re in action during one point or another this 2015 season as it comes to an end.
