Sounds like a gators fan who is soaking it up while he can because he knows that since Fulmer is out the door, Kiffin is going gator hunting next season. Yep, I can see you cowering behind the computer screen, biting your nails. After what Kiffin is going to do to the gators, Florida will drop the "orange". Not that it is really orange anyway. Not only that, they'll ban the color from the entire state.

If you all really think Kiffin is going to change what UT is right now you might want to think again, He has NO chance to compete against Urban Meyer

If you think that a team that changes its HEAD COACH doesn't change, maybe you should think again.

There's no questioning, my Blood Runneth Big Orange!!! But, I always pull for the Florida Gators except when they play the Tennessee Volunteers. I'm a big Steve Spurrier fan and I loved when his Gator teams were running wild. If the Vols couldn't beat the Gators, then I wanted the Gators to win.
I'm really just a huge college football fan period. On these cold Saturdays in the fall of the year, I can watch college football from noon until past midnight.
Nothing pleased me more on Saturday than seeing Nick Saban lose. I cannot stand Saban. He's such an arrogant person, I just do not like the way he comes across. But I will say, he was gracious in defeat in the post-game press conference and admitted his Tide-coached team just got beat. He said they made too many crucial mistakes.
What I really love is, one of my good friends is just as big a fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide as I am of the Tennessee Volunteers. Just last week we were talking football, and Mike says he doesn't think Utah, Boise State of Ball State should be in the top 25, that they're on the level of junior colleges. I told him he'd lost his mind, that even though the Western Athletic Conference and Mid American Conference might not be the SEC or ACC of Pac 10, they still play pretty good football.
Well, in the bowl game selection show on TV Sunday night, I cracked up when Alabama got paired in the Sugar Bowl with Utah. HA HA HA HA HA ... I called Mike and asked him if he thought that Alabama could beat that junior college of Utah? He said the Tide could beat 'em 50 to nothing. I asked him if he was watching the bowl show, and he wasn't. He didn't believe me at first when I told him Alabama would be playing Utah. He's bragged all season long about the almighty Alabama Crimson Tide and how great they are. I told him on the phone tonight they're not too great, or otherwise they wouldn't be playing the Utes of Utah. I told him I hope Utah beats the Tide, just because of how he's badmouthed Utah, Boise State and Ball State. I asked him if he'd forgotten Boise State beating Oklahoma a couple of years ago in the Fiesta Bowl when they used that razzle-dazzle play? He'd forgotten. He still says it's beneath the Tide to have to play a low-tier team like Utah.

Hey Bobby, granted the Vols aren't in a bowl game this year. But, they still beat Vandy and Kentucky. In my opinion, neither Vandy or Kentucky deserve to play in a bowl game.
Not just Vandy or Kentucky, I don't believe any team with a .500 record should be bowl eligible. But what's happened is, the more bowl games equals more bowl revenue for the NCAA. And that's what it's all about, the almighty dollar for the powers-that-be with the NCAA.
You just wait and see, with the weak economy there will be bowl games next year that won't be able to land sponsors and the respective bowl game will not be played.
I just don't think any team with a 6-6 record should be invited to a bowl game. But there's so many bowl games today, it takes 6-6 teams just to fill the slots in all bowl games.
So Bobby, consider your beloved Kentucky Wildcats to be playing in a "losers bowl."

Like several others on here, I'm a diehard Vols fan. Hey, I admit it was a down year for the Vols and they had a losing record. But look last year, they played in the SEC title game and really should have beaten LSU. But nonetheless, the Vols wound up 10-4.
Bobby, could you tell me the last time when Kentucky played in the SEC title game? Or how about the last time when the Wildcats beat the Vols in football? I loved last week when the Vols extended Kentucky's losing streak. That's the longest current losing streak in college football.
Bobby, it's not I don't like Kentucky. Because I like seeing the Wildcats do well. I think coach Rich Brooks is a class man. He stood up defending Phillip Fulmer, saying it's a doggone shame a fine man like Fulmer was run off from his coaching position because of rich donors to the athletic program at the school.
I don't even want to get started on that, either. I think these rich donors to the schools think since they give money, that gives them the right to complain and dictate to the schools when they think changes need to be made that had better happen ... or they'll stop donating money.
Jim Haslam, with Pilot Oil Corp., he thinks just because he donates a lot of money to the Vols athletic program, he has a say-so in when coaching changes need to be made. Haslam is just like another rich man who's donated millions of dollars to a school, and I'm talking about T. Boone Pickens and all the $$$$$$$$$$$ he's given Arkansas.
I loved it following the Vols and Kentucky game when Vols defensive coordinator Johnny Chavous said all those rich donors sitting up in the skyboxes, they don't have a clue what it takes to coach football down on the field. Well said, Chavous. I wish you would've told Jim Haslam where to stick it, too.

I really careless what Kentucky does. I dont even claim Kentucky has my home of record, my home of record on all my paper work is Jacksonville, Florida. I agree they are way to many bowl games. All we need is the BCS games and that it. Alot of people said Bama would beat Florida they couldnt get it done so now they all want to say Oklahoma will beat them and again they will come up short.
OU has a great defensive line but there linebackers and secondary isnt that good and they wont stop that fast Florida offense. The OU offense is good but they aint seen a defense like Florida brings to the table.

I counted 11 SEC titles for UT and 8 for UF. UT won there first one in 1938 and UF won there first in 1991. Since the SEC championship game started UT has 2 titles Florida has 7. Again I give the advantage to the Florida Gators. Ol Smokey is just a chomp toy these days for Albert

Dubya you are soooo right about Haslamilton, LOL!
...and Bobby, I think the Gators will punch OK in the mouth...them boys have no idea how to play defense. They were the better team last week vs Alabama. BAMA doesn't have any excuses because it was a clean game with zero turnovers, so they can't say "well if this had happened, we would've...etc".
Anyway, Bobby LOL, you were BARELY alive in 1984 yourself so don't be layin the smack down on ST1...and trust me, you won't have to Google the next time Tennessee beats Fla...I'll be right here to remind to that you said "TN will never be back on Fla's level", so gloat while you can cos it won't be long before the headlines read "LATER GATOR"!!!

I was alive in '84...... HA HA Best I remember, Florida broke a "few" NCAA rules, got put on probation and had the title stripped away in the spring, quite some time after the title game.
One of the infractions involved providing a car for a player.
Another involved having assistant coaches paid extra money on the side.
Trivia question..... where is the 1984 NCAA Championship trophy now?

Well Bobby will probably Google it, ROFL.
Please tell me that wasn't the nutty year when the Holiday Bowl decided the National Champion...please please don't tell me...say it ain't so.
The only good thing about it was who they beat, haha.

It's amazing what wikipedia can do. To be honest with you, and to no surprise of course, I have no clue what the deal is about. Firstly, I was not alive and secondly, I don't remember much before 2000 anyway. I don't even remember how well UT did in 2006.
I think the problem is that you are taking what I say to seriously. I should have put a "lol" or a emoticon or something.

Awwww ST1...let it go...Bobby's a big boy...he can take it, especially since his team is on top right now. We'll see how he does when the mighty VOLS rise up and smack down those Gators in the not too distant future.
The deal was ST1 that I think this was the year when Charlie Pell played dirty pool at Florida (again, this is off of the top of my head) and threw a wrench in the system. BYU I believe was undefeated and had played a powder puff schedule. They went to the Holiday Bowl, and the Einsteins threw a very mediocre Michigan team in there to play them. Michigan was about as bad as they were this season but their record was better...ANNNNNNYYYYYYWAYYYYYY, BYU beat them and won the Mythical National Championship.
There were at least 6-8 teams that were much better than both teams.

Bug knows I like to stir the pot sometimes to get a good topic rolling. BUT I will be right here IF UT can ever rebound.

Nope...... I'll just go ahead and answer it. HA HA
The 1984 SEC Championship trophy is still on display at the University of Florida. They were stripped of the title, but nobody ever took the trophy back......
