Who's heard about the deal down in Florida where the woman got all worked up over not getting her 10-piece order of McNuggets from a McDonald's?

You know, it wasn't an emergency worthy of a call to 911 ... but I don't think it was right the McDonald's wouldn't refund the woman's money. After all, she did pay for McNuggets. I don't blame her for complaining that she didn't pay for a McDouble and she didn't want one. But it should've been handled in-business, and not calling 911.

Now, after the matter, the McDonald's spokesperson says the woman should've been given a refund ... and they're now going to give her a gift card for a free meal? Well, I don't think that's right. Being the woman got arrested, I think McDonald's should have to pay for any court/legal expenses she incurs.

I'm not about sue, sue, sue. Because unfortunately, today it seems we live in a sue-happy society. But, hey, what's right is right and what's wrong is wrong: She should've been given a refund, then she wouldn't have called 911. Which was the wrong thing to do.

Click the link below and once at that site, scroll down the page below the story and listen to the 911 calls. That's hilarious!!!!! HA HA HA HA

Florida Woman Calls 911 After McDonald's Runs Out of McNuggets

A Florida woman called 911 three times after she paid for a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets at a McDonald's but the fast-food restaurant ran out of them and refused to give her a refund.

Latreasa L. Goodman, 27, made the calls after she tried to get her money back from a Fort Pierce McDonald's and the cashier told her all sales were final. Police released the 911 tapes.

"This is an emergency. If I would have known they didn't have McNuggets, I wouldn't have given my money, and now she wants to give me a McDouble, but I don't want one," police quoted her as saying. "This is an emergency."

The cashier suggested she choose something else off the menu of equal value to the McNuggets, and offered the restaurant's cheeseburger called the McDouble.

"She's trying to force me to eat something off the menu and I don't want it," Goodman told 911.

The first dispatcher, a woman, asks if there's a manager there, but listens to Goodman's complaints and says she's sending someone.

The second, male dispatcher tells her he's aware of the incident and "we've got an officer coming out there to talk to you."

Police say Goodman was cited on a misuse of 911 charge. A current phone listing for Goodman couldn't be found.

A McDonald's spokesman said Goodman should have been given a refund, and she's being sent a gift card for a free meal.

I read this yesterday.

I'm a little surprised RW that you think "Mickey D's" should be made to pay this woman's court costs/other fees. This woman called 911 three times, which is clearly abuse of a service/system designed for extreme emergencies and saving lives.

This is a little "out there", but what if her repeated calls caused someone to suffer longer due to serious injury or even pass. What if her call distracted another 911 operator who might have been trying to help keep calm someone who is injured or trying to counsel a family member trying to talk a loved one out of harming themselves while the authorities are/were on their way?

If you ask me, they're both wrong. I have no idea what kind of "power trip" the McDonalds employee was on when they refused to give the woman her money back because they didn't have the product she ordered. On the other hand, calling 911 wasn't exactly the proper thing to do either.

Both sides should have worked together to come to a solution, but to make a judgement that one idiot should have to pay for another idiot's mistake? The very thought of the American taxpayer having to foot the bill for court at any level is mind-numbing to say the least.

I can just see how that one would work out, LOL:

Judge: "Lemme make sure I have this correct. Ma'am, you are suing McDonalds because they charged you for something you ordered but didn't have in stock?"

Woman: "Yes, Your Honor."

Judge: "Well what in the world did you order that they didn't have in stock?"

Woman: "Chicken McNuggets."

Judge (chuckling): "Chicken McNuggets?"

Woman: "Yes. They offered me a McDouble instead"

Judge (voice cracking): Ma'am, did you ever stop to think that McDonalds might have been trying to help you?

Woman: "How sir?"

Judge (with tears in his eyes): "Well ma'am, if a part of a chicken is going to be a "nugget", what part do you think it's gonna be?"

I think the lady should've been charged with making a false 911 call, and yes, McDonalds should've given her back the money. People must realize that every little problem they have shouldn't be handled through 911.

But it does give me an idea, next time I see a boring Cup race maybe I should call 911 and report a snoozer on my tv screen..........

I worked tonight and I do Sunday from 10-2pm. IF they don't call me in before then. They chewed out two guys for never coming in when called so they may be calling me in a little more because I usually come in.

You, or anyone else for that matter, should stop by on Sunday! I'll probably be making food but if you come in and just ask for Slater I'll come right up. Or you can just look for the guy with his pants pulled up and has no clue what he's doing. lol

Yo "BugMan," I said: "You know, it wasn't an emergency worthy of a call to 911 ... but I don't think it was right the McDonald's wouldn't refund the woman's money."

Most definitely she shouldn't have called 911 over the deal, and thus I feel rightly she was arrested/charged for doing so. But the whole situation, in all likelihood, would've been handled if only the woman had been given a refund. I've never been told in a fast-food business that all sales are final, and no refunds.

But I still stand by what I earlier said, that McDonald's should be held responsible for the court/legal expenses this woman incurs. It's McDonald's fault the woman called 911. She didn't get her McNuggets that she had paid for, and she didn't want a doggone McDouble. HA HA HA HA

Just watch and see, this McNugget-less woman will be appearing on TV talk shows.

Just completely opposite of this woman's deal over the McNuggets, something happened to me yesterday (Thursday) at a Hardee's location here in Johnson City. I had ordered my Thickburger combo and two apple pies. After hearing the cost I proceeded to drive around to the pick-up window. There were a couple of vehicles in front of me. When I got to the window, the guy said "Sir, I've taken the cost of your apple pies off your order because it will be a little while before we have any apple pies available to prepare due to the fact we sold what we had earlier in the afternoon and we've not gotten all of our new food supply that was delivered about 45 minutes ago sorted out. But we have one apple pie and we're giving it to you." I told the guy I appreciate that, but I'm not taking it for free, and to just charge me 50-cents for one pie instead of 99-cents for two. He said he wouldn't do that, and the pie's in the bag.

I don't blame the woman one bit for what she did. Wrong is wrong! We have let the "little" slide for too long.

Now for a Long Josh Silver's story. This statred last week. Josh's girlfriend came through the drive-thur on Monday evening for her and Josh. She got them a 3-piece chicken and a 3 piece fish dinner with extra crunchies.  The yellow boxes were put in the bag. When she got here they had given her a 2 piece dinner in each one. Paid for 3 piece dinners.

Well Saturday she called Josh when got off work and Josh told her to run by LJ again and pick up him a 3 piece Chicken dinner and Bobby and 3 piece fish. Paid for 3 piece dinner, got 2 piece dinners. Same as Monday. Both evenings she was the only one in the drive-thru and one or two cars in parking lot.

I called LJ asked to speak to manager. Got the assisant manger. I asked him if anyone that worked there could count over 2 and knew the difference between chicken and fish. Told him this was twice in less than a week that this has happened. Told me not to get "huffy about it" and bring it back in. I told him we lived in Fort Blackmore not in Gate City. Told him I wasn't "huffy" about it , I was "pi**ed off" about it. Told him it was as simple and 1-2-3, chicken or fish.

Asked him agin if anyone there could count above 2 and knew the differnce between fish and chicken. He never answered my question. Told me to come by and pick up a free dinner this week. Not been back to get it, yet!

There's been several items in the news lately of where people called 911 for complete nonsense. Getting a wrong order at a drive thru is just a minor irritant, for anybody to think that it justifies calling 911 just shows that somebody needs a education.

I think a just sentence would be that they need to spend a few weekends sitting in the 911 center, listening to real 911 calls.

Should McDonalds have to pay her legal fees, heck no. That would be the same as saying that their mistake made her reaction understandable. There is no excuse for what she did.

exactly right tom, let her work dispatch for a couple of good friday nights and she'd understand what goes on in there. McDonald's should have refunded her money but it was her ignorance that tied up an emergency line for stupidity. I was a public servant for a lot of years and there's nothing that will burn your mood worse than someone like this wasting time that could have been spent helping someone in a real emergency situation, let her pay her own court costs and serve her own sentence whatever they give her

Super idea Tom! I am wondering however if it would make too much sense for a judge to figure it out.

Usually what happens when we make food incorrectly is that it is not wrung up correctly. One lady ordered ten things and apparently didn't want tomatoes on any of the items but by the way she said it, the cashier only entered in that one item shouldn't get tomatoes. For the most part, whatever is on the screen, we make.

I think we do a pretty good job customer service wise. Now, a few managers do have a guilty-until-proven innocent principle. Until you fork over the receipt, you are a liar. lol. And boy, when they show that receipt and the order was correct, all other orders come to a screeching halt until this one is dealt with.
