Got a txt (I was already in bed) from Bug Jr right after midnight asking me if I was watching the Syracuse-UConn game. I wasn't really happy about it, but I sent him one back and turned on the game...WOW! What an incredible game! Syracuse won in 6...yes, SIX overtimes!

Hey "BugMan," whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa ... U-N-R-E-A-L!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was on the phone with a buddy of mine and there was right at three minutes left in regulation. I asked if he was watching the Orangemen and Huskies, but he wasn't. He changed channels and we were on the phone at the end of regulation when Eric Devendorf almost sunk the dagger in UConn. What a tremendous 3-pointer Devendorf knocked the bottom out of. But video replay showed the ball was just on the very tip of his fingers when time expired. So off to overtime.

Rick and I stayed on the phone through two OT's, and he said "Man, I've got to crash." He said he was going up to bed and was going to turn TV on in he and his wife's bedroom and mute the sound so it wouldn't wake her up. Well, I talked with him this morning at his work about 10:15 and asked if he made it through all six OT's. He said he did, and he woke his wife up when he yelled at the end of the third overtime. HA HA HA HA ... She watched until the end with him. They both love basketball, and their two daughters play ... one at Holston Junior High (near Tri-Cities Regional Airport) and the other at Sullivan Central.

Anyway, what a game. It was a CLASSIC played out at "The Garden."

Wonder how tired the Orangemen will be tonight when they play West Virginia?

What'd you think about WVU beating Pittsburgh last night, "BugMan?" GO MOUNTAINEERS!!!!!! I like Coach Bob Huggins. I even liked him when he coached those thugs at Cincinnati.

A buddy of mine, today we were talkin' and he said "You know, I wish in basketball if you hit a shot past half-court, it counted for four points."

I thought "Hmmmmmmmm, that would add some spice to the game." But I don't look for the NCAA to make that a rule. HA HA HA
