Cats, dogs, cows, rabbits, turkeys and one Old Phart. How many critters does it take for a ZOO?!!

Meowing, barking, mooing, hopping, purting, clacking, gobbling and one wanting to knows-WHATS FOR SUPPER!!

Sure feels like a Zoo!!!

Let me guess, Woo, the Old Phart is the one that isn't as cute as the others AND thinks he knows everything.....right? Just be sure to let him in on the really cold nights

Robbie, Old Phart has a real nice 14'x 20' insulated dog house here in the side yard, complete with kerosene heater!!LOL He may not bark, moo or gobble, but he sure can GROWL!!!

As for supper, having soup beans (raised in the garden), corn bread, macaroni salad, fresh picked blackberry drop-in-pie, tomatoes, fresh off the vine.

Nothing like veggies out of a garden.

Tomatoes,Corn,Greenbeans and a slice of corn bread that makes a good meal

You and I both forgot the cucumbers!!
Beginning to get a few mush melons now.
Early apples are about gone and the peaches are about ready to pick. Been a great year for fruit!! Have to put props under the peach tree limbs.

Me and My Husband went to South Carolina last week and we stopped at a produce stand and got a bushel of peaches and those were so good.

I love Mush Melons.

Have 8 peach trees left after this winter. Lost a couple to the snow.
Josh planted what I call banana mush melons. They are long and shaped about like a banana. Like them better than the round ones.

The ones we have here take around three to four years to have fruit. All of ours was started from seed we set out in pots. After a year we transplanted them. Too it depends on the weather conditions.

We have the big Elberta peaches. They are freestone peaches which mean the seed comes out easy. Just cut them were the crease is and pop them open. They are great tasting, great for cobblers or drop-in-dumpling and canning peaches.
