Wouldn't you think someone revealing perhaps one of the worst and most traumatic events in their lifetime would be just a little nervous, maybe a little emotional, and maybe just a bit sad. But that's not what Herman Cain's accuser was at the press conference as she READ her accusations. She was happy, cheerful, laughing, joking...... Like perhaps someone who had gone through two personal bankruptcies in the past several years, had been unemployed for an extended period of time, and had suddenly "struck gold". Even her attorney Gloria Allred was feeling chipper enough to drop one liners about Cain's 'stimulus package' during the press release. Is this the behavior of someone who is telling the truth? I'm not saying that it was all a bunch of BS, but they surely appeared to be enjoying themselves. And, I don't know exactly how a lady who is accusing a very successful man of sexual assault is supposed to dress ..... but, I don't think that a very low cut and revealing RED dress is the appropriate attair. Just my opinion. This lady said nothing for over 15 YEARS?!? And, then she seemed to really be having fun with the attention and the press conference as she READ her account of what "happened" fifteen years ago from a statement prepared by, and pages turned by, Gloria Allred, as Allred whispered instructions. They even joked about book deals and movie rights.
Not saying that it didn't happen ..... The alledged "incident" was investigated by The National Restaurant Association way back when it was reported, and the evidence at the time warranted no further action per their findings. Her claims were unsubstantiated. It may have happened. It may not have happened. But, the fact is that she didn't prove it 15 years ago, yet the media accepts her story without question now. It appears to be her word against his, and the media judged Mr. Cain guilty as soon as the "news" broke on "Politico", of all places.
How long will it be before no Republican or Independent would ever dare run for public office? I say Republican or Independent because the Democratic candidates are held to entirely different standards by the media and by much of the public..... i.e., philandering William Jefferson Clinton who only became more popular and more powerful and more respected as the various women came out of the woodwork, ..... or out from under the Oval Office desk.
I am not a Cain supporter, but the ridiculous double standards by the media may soon force this country to a single political party ... or an uopposed political party....
One thing for sure. Mr. Cain needs to get his story straight, get it told, and get this quickly behind him ..... or his political career is finished.
