I'm sure that many of our forum members know that Tim Tebow had white letters added to his eye black for the 2009 championship game. Under his right eye within the black were the white letters "JOHN" ...... under his left eye were the white numerals "3:16". He often did that.

Did you also notice his stats for yesterday's playoff game with Pittsburgh?  He passed for 316 total yards.   But, he also averaged 31.6 yards per pass.

I am not saying there was Devine intervention, but .... THAT is interesting to say the least......

Absolutely Robbie.

Tim Tebow seems to be the subject of ridicule and even hatred by a LOT of people simply because he is an honest-to-goodness "good guy".  Tebow is the sports roll model kids should admire ... not because of his religion, but because of his character. Like you said Robbie, he is such a refreshing change from the trash talking uneducated (although college graduate) thugs we so often see glorified by the sports media.

Tebow is just a good guy ..... We need more "good guys".

By the way .... I was pulling for Pittsburgh yesterday because of our own local "star", Heath Miller. I was pulling for Pittsburgh all the way. But, I have to admit, as that first play of overtime unfolded and I saw what was happening .... I was laughing out loud and cheering for Tebow!   Then I saw his total passing yardage stats and average yards per completed pass stat, and wondered how many others saw the coincidence ...... or was it?

Hey guys I seem to remember a young kid back in 1993 who came on the sceen as a great new talent and a born again Christian. He had the looks and a great team under him and what I remember most was that a lot of people didn't like him because of what all he had going for him. He wasn't a so-to-speak bad boy and he was the polar opposite of the sports hero who was a guy in black. He caused a lot of stir and 19 years later is still one of the sports best and one day will be in the hall of fame. In the end Tim Tebow will be judged by his teamates and his fans. But like Jeff Gordon, in the end his character and his integrity will be judged by the same One who will judge us all. I am thankful for all of those in sports that, no matter what happens to them, good or bad, don't shove their faith on everyone but live in their faith each and everyday for us to see. Tim Tebow is a good young man for all of our children and grandchildren to watch and cheer on. We can only hope for more just like him.

Good friend Eric McClure pointed out to me yet another interesting fact related to the Denver-Pittsburgh game.

The CBS TV rating for the fourth quarter of the game was ..... yep .....  31.6

I feel like that commercial with the song, "Had a bad day".. LOL.. But it's OK, it's just a game and Tebow Time this season is over, BUT his message outweighs anything the game has to offer. Tebow made a lot of us believers, he had a hand in saving some of us and most of all, he inspired all of us! That message says it all.  It has been almost comical and honestly sad to see so many making fun of and belittling Tim Tebow during this football season. So many people fear the message which Tim Tebow delivers. From what I can see, Tim Tebow is simply a fine young man who has his priorities in order. He is living a dream life which he worked hard to attain. He is a young man of faith who believes strongly in the salvation offered by his God, and he is not afraid or ashamed to profess that faith or express his thankfulness in public prayer. He offers prayers of thanks for successes and he never lays blame on anyone else for shortcomings. He certainly isn't going to miraculously win every game. His team was soundly defeated last night. But, even in such a sound defeat there was a message delivered by Tim Tebow..... for those who simply watched the young man's actions after the game.

Tim Tebow is not an unusual character or a rarity in professional sports. Quite the contrary, there are many professional athletes who have the same convictions and character as Tim Tebow. The sports media focused attention on Tebow and put the spotlight on him  .... that is all.  If you follow professional sports of any and all kinds, just pay attention. There are a lot of good guys like Tim Tebow in all sports.
