When my son Josh comes in on leave, I usually ride back to NY with him, rent a car, and drive on back.

This time I have decided to fly back from Syracuse, NY to Tri-Cities Airport...

...now before somebody goes off half cocked that I should've checked Knoxville, I did...

...TRI-CITIES IS $150.00 CHEAPER!!!!! Can you believe it???

My uncle works at Tri-Cities Regional Airport, and has for around 25 years or so. Maybe right at 30 years now. I know he told me while out at their place Christmas Eve that he plans on retiring in the fall of 2009.

TCRA has had to get more competitive price-wise with McGee Tyson Airport in Alcoa/Knoxville with rates.

Also, a good friend of mine who flies often with his business, he goes across the mountain to Asheville, N.C., and he says usually the dollars-savings compared to either TCRA or McGee Tyson is a good sum.
