I see you're online, and I was wondering how you're doing. What's the verdict regarding your knee? Are they going to have to operate?

Hey, I wish you the very best.

Take care of yourself..............................

Surgery will be Thursday. Go Tuesday for pre admitting. Find out then what time the surgery will be scheduled. Hope it is early!!!

Knee was doing pretty good till this past Tuesday evening. When out twice on me with my brace on. Maybe chasing the cow that was kicking and butting another cow that is heavy with a calf (due to have a calf anytime) didn't help. I felt the calf kick yesterday evening which is a good sign!!!! Knee now is back full of fluid and hurt like crazy till Thursday.

Running up and down the hill wasn't too bad, but when I turned to go out the hill, out went my knee. The guys were working on the new barn addition when this started. Josh was on the tractor raising Bobby up in the front-end loader to string level the posts to be cut off.

Hope the calf is born in the next 48 hours!!!!

Woo-Woo,

Good luck with your visit Tuesday and your surgery Thursday. You'll be in our prayers.

Had surgery yesterday. All went well from what I was told. Went to sleep with pain in my knee, woke up without any pain.

Feels great to have the pain gone and surgery over!!! Told Bobby to tell me 'No more running cows" for a while!

There was talk about hiding my crutches!!!  I told them I would use the 4 wheeler the next time and use the wench cable and make a lasso to rope the cow!!!!

The cow she was butting and kicking had her calf last Sunday night about 10 p.m.. Big healthy little heifer calf.  Call her Windy because of the cold wind that was blowing.  By the time we got her dried off real good and a big warm bottle of First Milk down it was Monday morning!! 1:30 or so was when I went to bed.

Funny you mention knee injuries as I've got myself hobbled with one right now. I was walking down the hall-way of my house and when I sat down at the computer, it felt like my knee got blasted with an aluminum baseball bat. Needless to say in the past few days, the pain hasn't gotten any better. Hopefully I've only twisted the knee and haven't blown the knee out because I can't afford knee surgery.

Had a left knee arthroscopy with partical medical meniscectomy and debridement of ACL-chondneplasty. Sounds worse that it hurts. Two small cuts with 2 stitches in each.  No pain, just swelled and a little stiff when I sit for awhile.

Trying to take it easy but my cousin and his family lost their home to a fire early yesterday morning. He was med-flighted to Holston Valley with a bad gash on his right arm between his wrist and elbow and smoke inhalation. He lost a lot of blood. He is still in ICU but he was doing good this morning and may be out in a room today. They wanted to keep a close watch on his lungs from all that smoke. Afraid he may take pneumonia.
