"Ite den" you lil weatherbugs you. How about some predictions, especially from our buddy ST1.

I think they are still very uncertain about the NE Tennessee area. Just a slight miss in the forecast could result in a much larger snow for us.

My prediction for here in Greeneville...

...well lemme put it this way...I've already put the stew in the crockpot...I'm thinking 2-4".

My weather prediction-

It is gonna do what it is gonna do when it wants to do it

 and

we are gonna get what we are gonna get when

and

if we get it.

According to MRX:

Darn! Oh well. I'd like to see some good snow but I definitely don't want to miss anymore school days because now we have to make up each one we have--they've already extended our school year by four days. One more and it will be a complete week. lol

Yep...I've heard that Middle and Western parts of TN have saw 6+ inches in some spots. Looks like NE TN is in this magical and coincidental little slot of absolutely nothing but overcast skies.

Been snowing since around 11:30 here, but it appears the ground is too warm for it to stick.

It's coming straight down right now. Air temp is 36 and windy.

Yea, for about the past half-hour, it has been flurrying here in Kingsport but it instantly melts. I'm quite infuriated about it in fact. lol

I didn't really follow this system that much but it looks like the low went right through West and Middle TN, bringing them the snow. Since it was in that location, we weren't hit the the cold front which slung through the South.

I drove from Lexington, VA to Bristol earlier. In a front wheel drive with balding and way too much torque, the section between Roanoke and Radford is not what I would call "fun. HAHA!

I am replacing the tires pronto. Gigi and I left together and she got home 12 minutes before I did. Let's just say that she was in a 4-wheel drive.

I guess at my home here in west Johnson City it snowed about three-quarters of an inch. But what's wild is, just about 25 miles away in Roan Mountain they got a foot.

A friend of mine who lives in Bakersville, N.C., he e-mailed me a few photos showing all the snow up at his place. I told him I was glad he and his wife got the snow and not here in Johnson City.

I, and all of my family and friends are sick and tired of all the cold, winter, snowy weather we've had and we're ready for warm weather to arrive.

My allergies always give me fits in the spring when things start blooming, but I'm looking forward to spring and everything blooming because I know at least it will be warm.

Here tonight locally in the Tri-Cities it's supposed to be around 8-10 degrees, and then once again in the teens again tomorrow night. But thank goodness later in the week it's supposed to warm up.

Sullivan Co. schools were on a two hour delay this morning.

I didn't even knew it snowed in J.C.! Wow, it only flurried a few times here and that was all we saw. It even immediately melted on contact with any surface.

Washington County Schools were out on Monday, reportedly due to slick conditions in the lower part of the county towards where it meets with Unicoi County. Plus, I believe the school superintendent and others thought with roads wet from the snow falling on Sunday, it would freeze into ice overnight.

"ST1" where it didn't warm up past freezing on Monday, I've still got a little snow out on my deck where it stays shaded. In the yard where sun was shining, that melted. But between my house, on the carport side towards the house over beside of mine, it stays shaded in that area and snow is still lying on the grass.

At 12:06 a.m. my WeatherBug shows it's 17 degrees. I'd say over in Southwest Virginia for sure it will be down in the single digits.

Ladybug and I took the SUV and drove to the top of Viking Mtn in Southern Greene County yesterday afternoon. What a beautiful scene it was! Probably 6 inches of snow or so...everything was covered in white at the top, and it was treacherous going up (and coming down) to say the least. It was clear, and we could see over the top of Fodderstack, Chimneytop, and Bays Mtns, well into SW/Va.

We left our camera at home, but I snapped some pics with my phone. Gonna upload them to my email...if they're any good, I'll send them to Old Pro so he can post them.

Gosh, just to look outside the windows the past couple of days, you'd think "What a lovely day."

Well, beautiful clear blue skies and the sun shining, but brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ... quite chilly to say the least.

The highest I saw on the Weather Channel for the temperature on Monday was 30 degrees and then 33 on Tuesday. But the wind was blowing, and it felt much colder.

It's a fact, March "roared in like a lion," so hopefully the old saying with be true and it will "go out like a lamb."

Thursday, Friday and Saturday look to be very nice here in East Tennessee, with it supposed to be around 70-72 degrees on Saturday. Wooooooooooooo-hooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey "BugMan," it's unreal all the people in the region who have never even been up to Viking Mountain. That's very pretty up there.

We love it RW. We just discovered it at last summer's end. Every time snow is forecast for the mountains, we try to head up there and see the beauty. Hard to believe it's only 15 minutes down the road.

Someone told me there used to be a ski resort up there that burned. I can sure see why. One of the few points around here that you literally look down at the mountains!

ohhhh yes, i love viking mtn. been there over 1,000 times. bugman, u need to go over there and stand on the rocks and look off and take some pics.  Yes there used to be a ski resort there. i saw a pic of it up there and it would blow your mind. i was told it wasnt making good money and government bought it back.  But i can remember even when i first got my license and drove up there all the time there was still chilets and such. but the burning was done by buttholes that burned down the chilets that was left.  Me and the gf take our sunday trips around greene county all the time, i could take you to sooo many firetowers in greene county and some beautiful spots in the mountains here bugman. me and the ole lady will show ya around lol  i saw where you live the other day, you live literally a min from me. holler at me

Just come on up and knock on my door anytime dude!

Will be here the next few mornings. Having some work done on the fencing, guest-house, and water lines to the GH...froze on me twice this winter.

Are you going to compete for the LM Championship at "The Gap" again this season? I may have to bring back the "Mop-and-Go-Show", complete with special mop if you are!
