Tonight, my long-time friend and high school classmate Michael Cerveris returns to the Fox Channel's hit series "Fringe" as "The Observer". During a phone conversation the other day, he was telling me some of the things Fox has done to promote his part...they have done some crazy things like putting him the grandstands in the middle of a Yankees game, and "Observing" a NASCAR team at Texas earlier this year, and in the pressbox at an NFL game. Of course the camera pans by him then comes back like it does on the show most of the time, which is interesting. He's really had a blast playing this part although playing Broadway is his specialty.

I don't know how many of you watch this show...I wasn't a fan after the first few episodes, but I kept watching because of Michael and enjoy it much more now than in the beginning.

Michael is a very gifted and highly acclaimed actor and has been a Broadway hit for many years now. Before Fringe, he was best-known for his lead roles in such films as "Tommy" and "Fame"...He has made several cameos in other hit series' like "CSI" (Grissom actually shot and killed him in "CSI...I can't remember Grissom shooting anyone else") and "Law and Order".

Michael calls Huntington, WV his hometown although the States of Maryland and NC claim him too.

Several friends and I discussed the success in television several of our classmates had at our 30 class reunion last summer...there are several others, but the other one everyone would most likely know is CNN's Sean Callebs, who has been there for years and has covered (and broken) several major news stories.

Anyway, if you are wondering what to watkch tonight, I recommend "Fringe".
