You know the trends are not looking good for job numbers when this is the statement coming from the White House: 
 
“The blizzards that affected much of the country during the last month are likely to distort the statistics. So it's going to be very important to look past whatever the next figures are to gauge the underlying trends.”
 
Oh, so that's how the economy works. Snow = jobs loss? Never heard that before. Somewhere along the way I missed that economic "fact". I can understand that the big snows caused a lot of people to MISS work days, and even caused some employers to have to temporarily close shop for a few days, but the snow caused job LOSSES?
 
There's a more incredible request in this statement:
...simply “look past whatever the next figures are”. 
 
So, are we to pretend everyone has a job? .....just look past the next figures indeed!

First thing that reminded me of is my aunt and her 30+ hens. Bad weather effects their egg-laying!! People want the eggs but they have to wait till production picks back up.

Thank goodness for the warmer weather that is coming!! Egg production and the economy both will pick back up.

Maybe a study should be done on egg laying and the economy trend to see if there is a connection!!!

Lo and behold, pirate activity increases off the coast of Somalia, then we have record snowfall in the U.S.

Coincidence? I think not.
