Oh what a beautiful day!!!! Hope everyone one has had a good day. The birds were happy at day break, singing at the top of their voices. The baby calf was feeling his cheerios, also, running and jumping stiff legged at Abby this morning.

Enjoyed digging in the dirt planting flower bulb. Seeing the birds building their nests, deer running around enjoying the sunshine.

GOD MADE A BEAUTIFUL PLACE HERE IN VIRGINIA!!!!!

I'm definitely enjoying this warm spring weather, "WOO-WOO!" It looks like we're going to have a lil' cool-down Saturday, Sunday and Monday, with highs only in 60s.

On TV they're saying this will be dogwood winter. Maybe that's correct, being the dogwoods are really in bloom and look pretty.

I don't know about others, but wowwwwwWWWWW ... all the pollen in the air is really giving my allergies fits. I ran my vehicle through car wash on Monday to get the weekend of dirt from Volunteer Speedway cleaned on, and it looks awful now with all the yellow pollen dust on it. When you look around outside and see the pollen laying on everything, if you consider we're breathing that in when outside, then no wonder people are bothered with allergies.

What gets me (and others I've talked with) is years ago who ever heard of allergies from pollen? I don't remember seeing all the yellow pollen on vehicles and all back in the 1960s and 1970s when I was a boy growing up.

I wasn't bothered with allergies until about four or five springs ago, and now allergies really bother me.

But I'll take having allergies because I'm just so glad it's warm weather. I also like this "between" period we're having with weather; where we don't have to run heat at night, nor the heatpump's air-conditioner during daytime. That will help electric bill drop, and after getting expensive bills during the winter I'm ready for a drastic reduction in my electric bill.

Some people will run their air during summer and make their house feel like a meat cooler. Not me, I don't!!! I set my thermostat on 74-75 degrees in summer. I feel comfortable with that, too. Think about it, once you get house cooled off and humidity removed, 74-75 degrees really is pretty comfortable. At least I think so, and I'm who lives in my house. HA HA HA

Had a small thunderstorm here around 2:30 or so. Had some hail in it and that really cooled the air down. It is 70 degrees at the back of the house in the shade.

It briefly rained here in Johnson City on Thursday evening, around 5:45 p.m. Not a hard rain, just a little drizzle and then for about 7-10 minutes it was a steady rain. But with the ground so dry, what little rain we received didn't hardly dampen the ground.

This rain will make the mushrooms pop up though the leaves.
Had lightening hit a hollow tree in Yuma and catch it afire. Heard one of the fire dept. member say they had about an inch down there.
