Our newest partner, the Greyhound Rescue of Tennessee, is headquartered in Knoxville, TN. The GRFT has just received word of Greyhound abusers from Ohio that have fled to the Knoxville, TN area. If you live in or around the Knoxville area, please spread the word so that the Wilson family may be apprehended for their atrocities in Ohio.
Animal abusers - the Wilson family has fled Ohio for Knoxville Tennessee
26 dogs confiscated in alleged cruelty case in Henry County
Attention all, this is very important. Before Lisa, Jim and John Wilson could be sentenced on their animal cruelty conviction, they fled Ohio and are in the Knoxville Tennessee area now. Lisa is reported to be working as a groomer and her employer has supplied them with a condo in which to live. This is information passed to me by the Henry County Humane executive director. She was the one who shut Lisa down here in Ohio and took her to court. She has notified Knoxville animal control about the Wilson family but does not know for sure if the Wilsons are in the city or within the county or what. Stacy Bressler has asked for our help once again. The concern is that Lisa will start up her "dog rescue and adoption" activities again leading to more animal abuse. There is also frustration over the fact that the Wilson family has apparently gotten away with no punishment for their animal abuse.
First, please cross post this information to your other dog and/or greyhound lists and other dog rescue lists, especially those in the general Tennessee and Knoxville area. Preventing Lisa from getting any more dogs is a top priority. Secondly, if anyone happens to be able to find out the exact location of the Wilson family or Lisa's employer, that would be a big bonus. The quote from Stacy Bressler is: "Maybe we can keep tabs on them so they can never harm another animal again. I hope they get wind of this too...that way they know they might be able to move away but WE WILL NEVER LET THEM GO WITHOUT PAYING FOR WHAT THEY DID!"

here is my opinion on this issue i don't think they need to go to court to waste the judge and jury time they need to be takes on interstate at the busy time and make them play russian frogger and if that doesnt work let anybody that want to pay 100.00 and get a cattle shock stick and shock them any were they desire to while they are hooked up to a electric fence wide open with full juice from a 220 volt and let all animal loves soaked them down with water while they are getting shocked and then take them straight to the mohhumed dessert and only give them alpo dog food to eat and water from the closest sewer plant since they dont deserve the water out of a bottle or faucet adn if they behave for a week give them a doggie treat for snack after thy eat their alpo and then have a circus with them in a cage with 100 hungry pit bulls and my favorite the rotties and give them a tatto across their forhead saying im a dog abuser then and if they survive all this straight to prision so the can waste the tax payers money on their rotten behinds til they die and only food they get is alpo and for drink rotten milk and have a dog right outside their cell so they can look at it all day and all night amd if they try to pet it cut the hands off as u can tell i have no use for people that abuse dogs cats horses cows and other animals and i think that the state should have a law stateing that if you are caught abuseing animals they can take akl your money and valuables to donate to animalshelters and rescue groups

WOW! It sounds like the U.S. Penal System could use someone like You to take care of Animal Abusers and that crowd. I guarantee that anyone who survives your prescribed method of rehabilitation would never set foot anywhere near another animal.
I am a non-violent person by nature, but agree that anyone who abuses an animal is the lowest of the low. I know that there are several members here at RacersLounge whose lives have been touched by the addition of an animal, including my family.
My parents (kimmymommy and DadtotheBone) are the proud adoptive parents of 4 beautiful retired racing greyhounds from the Knoxville-based Greyhound Rescue Foundation of Tennessee.
In addition to the 4 greyhounds, I have managed to sneak in 5 rescue cats over the past 12 years, all currently living with my parents. Mom claims that they have adjusted to life at their house and that I could never take them away. I think that she's just grown attached. HAHA!

Animal abusers are sick people and I hope these folks are found and punished for what they did. I appreciate folks that stand up for animals, no kill shelters, etc. By the way, did anyone ever see the show on NatGeo called Rescue Ink? It was about a group of biker dudes that rescued animals and found them good homes. Big ol' boys that I wouldn't want knocking on my door, that's for sure! But, they do great work.
